The Non League Football Show

Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show should be a good listen this afternoon covering yesterday's FA Vase ties, the midweek FA Cup Replays as well as the subject of physios. Boreham Wood, St Albans City and Karen's Welwyn Garden City will be the featured Club's so she will no doubt be all ears. Roll on 2.00pm:

Not Dave Andersen fortunately but unfortunately for Karen her nemesis Phil Annet is on this week's other Non League Show who makes her look an amateur with his statistics:

The Non League Football Show / 17th September 2021 - FA Cup 2Q, Horsham & Marine (audioboom.com)

It's FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round and giving Tim Fuell the insight and stats Phil Annets has his @FACupFactfile hat on for the 82 ties.
Gary Charman equalled the Horsham appearances record this week in his third spell at the club 614 appearances is his current total equalling the 23 year old record, but he's hoping for more starting this week in the FA Cup against Kingstonian.
After taking his side to last season's FA Cup Third Round proper against Tottenham Hotspur, Neil Young has already notched two FA Cup wins this season with Marine. Warrington Town ae the visitors on Saturday as they look to continue their FA Cup form.
Rounding off the show is David RIchardson. The Senior Writer at The Non League Paper previews his piece with Heybridge Swifts Chairman Gary White and the weekend's league and FA Cup programme.

Roll on 2.00pm and Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show featuring, unsurprisingly, his very own Aylesbury United as well as Dunstable Town, AFC Dunstable, Crawley Green, Kempston Rovers and yesterday's FA Cup Second Qualifying Round action:

Ollie Bayliss took part in a Podcast recently and chatted to the presenters about all things Non League, it's a good listen:

This is rather worrying isn't it, Harry Kewell and his Assistant Paul Butler have left Barnet, lets just pray it doesn't signal the departure of goalkeeping coach Dave Anderson as if so we know what that will mean:

This week's other Non League Show, Karen won't be listening as her nemesis Phil Annet is on the show previewing the weekend's FA Vase ties:

The Non League Football Show / 24th September 2021 - FA Vase 2Q, Hinckley LR & Aldershot Town (audioboom.com)

We get into FA Vase mode. It's the Second Qualifying Round and our resident stat man has been busy previewing all 182 ties so we put him to the test with a delve into some of the stats and facts. One of those FA Vase games is a local derby, between two clubs who rose from the ashes when their former club was wound up. We speak to Hinckley LR Secretary Stuart Millidge about the club’s new name, building for the future, and football’s toughest job as football secretary.
Football’s other toughest job is possible being the manager. In the last year our other guest has enjoyed Play-off promotion, a new job in the Football League, endured sacking, unemployment and now has returned as the new boss of a club very close to his heart. Mark Molesley talks about his new appointment at Aldershot Town.
Helping round up all the other to-ing and fro-ing this week is Editor at Large of the Non League Paper Matt Badcock as he reviews the week’s news and previews this weekend's paper.

I see that Ollie Bayliss sold his soul to the devil yesterday afternoon and commentated on the Milton Keynes Dons v Wycombe Wanderers League One fixture for BBC Three Counties Radio:

Ollie Bayliss is unsurprisingly still tight lipped at 8.30am on a Sunday as to what and who will be featured on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon however no doubt yesterday's FA Vase Second Qualifying Round ties will be high on the agenda involving our local Club's, particularly Tring Athletic's 4-1 win at FC Deportivo Galicia, which isn't an easy place to go, and London Colney's surprise 2-0 win at Easington Sports which will have pleased their eccentric boss Jack Metcalfe, hopefully Jack will be on the show. Away from the SSML, no doubt Lee Bircham's unceremonious dismissal at Hemel Hempstead Town last week will be featured:

This week's other Non League Show, as per usual Karen won't be listening as her nemesis Phil Annets is on the show previewing the weekend's FA Cup Third Qualifying Round ties including her very own Welwyn Garden City's tie at Bromsgrove Sporting. Sorry to steal Karen's thunder but the Club have never progressed further than this stage of the competition, they came close in 1998/99 losing a replay at Ford United after drawing 2-2 at Herns Lane in a tie they should have put to bed:

https://audioboom.com/posts/7952634-01st-october-2021-fa-cup-3q-kettering-town-cheshunt-united?playlist_direction=forward

As the FA Cup reaches the THird Round Qualifying Tim Fuell speaks with Phil Annets (@FACupFactfile) on the clubs who have played every round so far, the clubs tipped for cupsets and the BBC iPlayer choice of the 41 ties ahead this weekend.
Kettering Town boss Paul Cox, took Mansfield all the way to the Third Round against Liverpool and they are memories he will always treasure, and memories he hopes can inspire the next generation of Poppies to take them into the Fourth Qualifying Round. The club are already the second highest scorers in the history of the FA Cup, but can they progress further?
Also hoping to progress further is Craig Edwards. He's had success in the competition with other clubs before to but is yet to do so with his current club Cheshunt. In a week that their eight year push for planning for a site development, he hopes the winning ways can be reflected on the field too, but not before he's made his point on the fuel crisis fiasco this week.
Rounding off the show is David Richardson of The Non League Paper also talking fuel shortages as well as Peter Taylor's arrival at Welling United.

Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show should be a really good listen as usual at 2.00 this afternoon with yesterday's FA Cup Third Qualifying Round action being discussed and the disappointing exit of Ollie's very own Aylesbury United as well as AFC Dunstable, Welwyn Garden City, Cheshunt and Marlow, Ware and St Albans City live to fight another day in replays. The fuel crisis will be discussed as well as managerial changes including an interview with Aylesbury Vale Dynamos new boss Steve Bateman, 2.00pm can't come soon enough:

I see that Ollie Bayliss was present at the Aylesbury United v FC Romania Southern League Challenge Cup First Round tie at The Meadow this evening (Wednesday), I wonder if he met George Georgiou:

At least we know there definitely is a God, firstly it would appear that the Suffolk Non League Show has been pulled and, secondly, there is no sign of Dave Anderson on today's other Non League Show, thirdly Karen's nemesis Phil Annets is not on the show for a change this week:

https://audioboom.com/posts/7956674-08th-october-2021-volunteering-binfield-loughborough-dynamo?playlist_direction=forward

As the FA Trophy hits the Second Qualifying Round, Tim Fuell speaks with two clubs hoping for success this Saturday.
Opening the show, a new feature on volunteers and volunteering in non league. Sean Holland is the founder of Non League Volunteers and hopes to encourage more to give a little back to the grassroots game.
Binfield Joint-managers Carl Withers and Jamie McClurg are hoping for more of the same having been drawn away in the FA Trophy this weekend at North Leigh. Awaydays served them well last term as they took the club to Wembley in the FA Vase final, but can they repeat it at the next level up?
Lee Attenborough has been at Loughborough Dynamos longer than many bosses full management career. Still younger than many non-league players he has many more years ahead of him in the dugout with Dynamos close to his heart and the side he hopes to guide to success this season.
Matt Badcock rounds off the show with the Non League Paper round-up including a preview of National League action, managerial changes and the weekend's paper ahead.

I wonder whether Ollie Bayliss will feature Joe Sweeney's sad departure from Bell Close on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon or maybe even have Joe on the show to explain why he suddenly took the decision to walk away:

Yes, Joe Sweeney is currently being interviewed by Ollie Bayliss and is being very honest about why he cleared his desk and walked away from Bell Close yesterday following the fixture at Oxhey Jets. Also featured on the show are Winslow United, New Bradwell St Peter, Dunstable Town, Royston Town and Biggleswade Town.

It's a busy other Non League Show today and grave news for Karen as her nemesis Phil Annets is on again previewing tomorrow's 32 FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round ties. It's strange as presenter Tim Fuell really has a thing about Dave Anderson doesn't he and thinks the sun shines out of him, why do we think that is:

The Non League Football Show / 15th October 2021 - FA Cup 4th Qualifying: Marske Utd & Chertsey Town (audioboom.com)

As we reach the final qualifying round of the FA Cup, Tim Fuell embraces the stats and facts surrounding the 32 ties with @FACupFactfile Phil Annets and talks to two managers hoping to lead their sides to cupsets.
Marske United boss Carl Jarrett has led his side already into 5 wins from 5 in this season's FA Cup, with 5 clean sheets and scoring 20 goals. With the visit of Gateshead from two levels above a sell-out he believes his club from a "small fishing port" are more than capable of going further in this competition and moving further up the pyramid.
Moving further is something Chertsey Town boss Kevin Maclaren has done in recent months. His weekly commute from Blackburn down to the outskirts of London to try to balance a young family with work and football certainly suggests he'd be comfortable with another National cup run. As a player under Dave Anderson he covered the country on the way to winning the FA Vase. As his replacement as manager he's continued that success, unbeaten this season in the league and heading to Southend this week in the FA Cup looking for a cupset.
Rounding off the show looking at the National League, FA Cup and managerial changes at Southend, Leatherhead, Stourbridge and Billericay and previewing this weekend's paper is Senior Writer of The Non League Paper David Richardson.
