Oxhey Jets v RAF Icarus FC - Saturday 9 November

Recommended Posts

Despite the bad weather it was an amazing day at the Boundary Stadium on Saturday when Oxhey Jets took on RAF Icarus FC in their annual Armistice Remembrance meeting in front of 399 spectators, last years game raised some £2000 for the Royal British Legion and Saturday's affair, which Oxhey Jets won 6-1, is likely to surpass that. Some of you may have wondered why Oxhey Jets were not in SSML action on Saturday however the Club have strong Military links and sadly lost former player Tom Lake in November 2011 whilst serving with the 1st Battalion, Princess of Wales 'Tiger' Royal Regiment in Afghanistan. Northwood born Tom also has a road in South Oxhey named after him, Tom Lake Way, and will never be forgotten by the Club:
