Tuesday 29 October

Premier Division

Oxhey Jets v Colney Heath (kick off 7.30pm)

The London Football Guide have previewed this evening's encounter at the Boundary Stadium which should be a thriller although we said that about the Oxhey Jets v Newport Pagnell Town game on Saturday didn't we:

SSML Premier Division
Oxhey Jets v Colney Heath @7.30pm - after a few seasons of fairly mediocre stuff, it's good to see Oxhey back up among the leading clubs in this league. Currently sixth, they could move up a place with a win here. The visitors, however, look like champions in waiting. Although third at the time of writing, they've got four games in hand on the leaders and could go second with a hefty win here.

A brief report, it sounded like St Panteleimon deserved to win in 90 minutes:

Wow that's a statement from Oxhey Jets with the only goal coming from that man Nicholas Kerley one of the best strikers in the league in my opinion.

Savagebee - Oxhey Jets will be kicking themselves that they didn't beat Newport Pagnell Town on Saturday which would have taken them joint third in the table with a game in hand

The goals seem to have dried up for Hillingdon Boroughs Ash Hunt. Hillingdon Borough need his goals or they COULD be a Division Two club next season.

A Scott McGleish started for Edgware Town? Is that the ex Wealdstone, Wycombe Wanderers, Leyton Orient, Colchester United and Barnet striker to name a few of his clubs?

If he was born in 1974 then the answer is yes

Fair play to him for continuing to play at lower levels, the same with Jamie Cureton. Fully expect him to end up in step 7 and complete the set.

Didn't know that Scott McGleish started out Edgware Town FC.

He's 45 years old now so good on him.
