The coach has been filled, but we'll still take names to see if we have enough demand for a second coach. Get in touch ASAP if you want it to be considered.

Cheer up Dan, tomorrow's Saturday!

Just the kind of game that could be a banana skin for the Rebels  Ourselves 15/15 points last 5 league games Oxford 2/15 points last 5 league games  That's when complacency can appear and confidence gives way to overconfidence which can cost Total concentration needs to be the order of the day As always I'm hoping for the 3points.

Hopefully it won't get any worse than tonight SG.

There's a couple of spaces on the coach, after we had some drop outs.

Can I have a space please? Sorry about the SOULEI score!!!

Extremely frustrating to lose our unbeaten run like that. The ref helped no end and I’m not sure our 2 week break had the desired effect either. We played ok but not to the levels we’ve enjoyed recently. To be fair Oxford City played well and were obviously up for it under new management. This game was a golden opportunity to cement 3rd place but a lot of things just didn’t click today and it’s mighty disappointing. Just hope we can get a win Tuesday against another struggling side and start another long unbeaten run.

One loss in eleven league games so I don't think we should be too harsh on the team.

Having said that I think it was a disappointing performance with the majority of our players under performing on the day.

I think you also have to give credit to an Oxford City side who looked really up for it with their passing and movement which we seemed to struggle to cope with for most of the game.

Thankfully we have a game on Tuesday and the chance to bounce back from this performance.

I totally agree with you Glen. Play to the whistle but when Lee Togwell appeared to be fouled when he was in possession but the referee played on and Oxford City scored their second goal, there is no chance of the Rebelplayers instinctively reacting positively to that situation. The playing conditions were hardly conducive to the players playing at their maximum potential but rather which team won each dogfight. But I can say what I like about the referee without causing a case of professional misconduct ... I accepted his decisions except for three in the second half. As mentioned, a free  kick should have been awarded to Rebelrather than playing on for the equalisiing goal; the first penalty appeal was 50:50 but for the second penalty  appeal, the Oxford City player was  holding the ball like he was going over the line for the winning try ... it was right in front of me!

"You've got to play all teams in all conditions with all sorts of officials and get over disappointments."

SG, you can hardly blame the pitch for our players not playing to their maximum potential. We like to play football on the deck and Oxford did precisely that.

It might have been a blatant penalty but in the refs defence he can only give what he sees.

Personally I'd rather be playing a side that are in the play-offs.

Welling will be coming to us on the back of a poor performance and will be scrapping for their lives to get the points.

My post read "playing conditions" not "pitch".

I think that I am correct in saying that "the playing conditions were hardly conducive to the players playing at their maximum potential" when the ball was wet for the whole match and the weather was either raining or cold and damp.
