andyetfc
Would you believe it? Non-league Chichester City - the lowest ranked club in the FA Cup - received a bye to the second round following Bury's removal from the competition. Chichester, seventh in the eighth-tier Isthmian League South East Division, were the final club left in the pot at the end of Monday's first-round draw and receive £36,000 in prize money. littlehampton
Yes Andy, I'd believe it, and wish them the very best of luck in the second round draw. They played and won six matches to reach the first round draw, and have generated a fair amount of prize money along the way. This is what every non-league dreams of doing. They deserve their success, even if they did leave it very late to score that winner against Town at Oaklands Park, when a replay looked on the cards. Nice club, nice people. Who knows, they might win promotion to the IPL this season, and be playing us again, unless of course we get promoted this campaign!
72wemblyfinal
And I do believe Chichester City have pledged to make a donation to the consortium of fans trying to resurect Bury FC as a football club/team again. Well done Chichester and good luck to them.
