BEN GILL RETURNS

The club is please to confirm that Ben will return as a player for the season as well as being part of Phil Granville's management team

Ben started his career as a youth player at Arsenal but was released in July 2005 and joined the Academy of Championship side Watford. Whilst still an Academy scholar he made his first team debut in a League Cup victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 20 September 2005, coming on as a substitute. He went on to make two further substitute appearances in the League Cup and FA Cup respectively, against Premier League sides Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers.

Watford were promoted to the Premiership at the end of 2005–06 season, and Gill was awarded a professional contract. In October 2006, he joined Conference side Cambridge United a month's loan, to cover injuries sustained by the Yellows. He was involved in 4 matches, starting 3 times. After his return, he was unable to break into the first-team. At the end of the season he was released, and subsequently signed a two-year contract with League One side Cheltenham Town on 15 May 2007. He played fifteen times for the club before being he was released early from his contract in January 2009. He signed for Crawley Town in February 2009, signing until the end of the 2009. Signed on non-contract terms for Weymouth in March 2009 until the end of the season. On July 2009 he signed with Interblock from Slovenia.

His spell in Slovenia was ended in September 2010 however when he returned to England and signed for Forest Green Rovers. After only a few games for Forest Green Gill departed The New Lawn and spent a small amount of time at Rayners Lane before moving on to Isthmian Premier Division side Wealdstone in November 2010. After making 12 league appearances he left Wealdstone. He then spent time training with Lincoln City.

Has made 12 AVDFC Appearances upto Season 2020/21 and scored 4 goals

Welcome back Ben

Ben Gill has also played for Harefield United FC, Hanwell Town FC, Pitshanger Dynamo FC and North Greenford United FC in more recent years how could they forget that from Mr Gills CV ?

Like the new paint job it looks much better ?

That iconic sign, and ground hoppers dream, behind the goal at the Haywood Way end is similar to Leighton Town at Bell Close isn't it, I wonder who copied who, both signs have been in place for many seasons.

Joining the Dynamos is Daniel Griffiths, a young attacking midfielder who can play on either wing who signs from Thame Rangers.

Previously at Reading FC, Dan has impressed the management team in preseason so far and we are looking forward to seeing how his career develops.

Lewis Workman will be a big loss to Aston Clinton, they relied on him a lot to hit the net which he did for them on a regular basis, I believe he has been at Aston Clinton Park pretty much all of his career apart from a brief spell at Marlow where he surprisingly wasn't really given an opportunity. He netted 26 goals in 32 league appearances in 2016/17 and 23 goals in 20 league appearances, 32 goals in all competitions, in 2017/18 when Aston Clinton reached the Finals of the Wycombe Senior Cup against Flackwell Heath and the SSML Division Two Cup against Park View with Workman obviously netting in both games:

I'm particularly interested to see how Lewis Workman does at Haywood Way this coming season and if he can make the two steps up to Premier Division level from Division Two, I think he can and I hope Phil Granville throws him straight in from the very start rather than tinker about like Claudio Ranieri with so many new players to choose from.

Last night Junior Gyamfi signed Spartan League forms with the club

Junior Gyamfi is an athletic centre midfielder who signs from MK Gallacticos. Technically good on the ball, a good ball carrier and is a great athlete.

We look forward to seeing how this young player develops in the upcoming season.

The Club Captain this season really needs no introduction. He has been at the club since he was about eight years old.

Ben Stevens is a club legend, he has made well over 500 appearances for the club in all its guises since making his first team debut as a teenager.

Ben is a tough tackling no nonsense defender of holding midfield player who also has a great range of passing.

We welcome Ben back

Two players from last season have resigned for the 2020/21 campaign

Alfie Gaspar returns for a second season after playing 30 times last year. He is a Tricky midfielder/winger who joined after playing futsal at Bedford. Good balance and excellent on the ball with the ability to go past opponents with ease.

also returning is Dan McAteer who made 27 appearances for the Dynamos last term. Two footed defender who can play all along the back line. Good in the tackle with two good feet and an excellent reader of the game. Adds experience to a young Aylesbury side

We welcome both back to the club

Photographs from Brimsdown Rovers v Aylesbury FC, at Goldsdown Road on Saturday 30 January 2010 in a SSML Premier Division fixture from 2009/10, resulting in a 0-0 stalemate. Aylesbury were Champions that season and were promoted to the Southern League Division One Central, it was a surprise they didn't beat Brimsdown Rovers that day who were relegated however the Club resigned from the SSML to merge with Enfield 1893 following uncertainty about their future at Goldsdown Road:

We’re very close to fa cup first round that season. Narrowly beaten by Wealdstone at the final hurdle. It was basically the Aylesbury utd team from previous season. Manager and team moved lock, stick and barrel because there was a reported £1600 a week budget!

Winslow Boy - Yes, that was some run and they beat Langford, Leighton Town, Erith Town, Wingate & Finchley and Chesham United before going 2-0 up against Isthmian League Premier Division Wealdstone at Haywood Way in the Fourth Qualifying Round after just fifteen minutes, unfortunately losing 4-2 in the end. There was a nice letter in the Non League Paper after the game from a Wealdstone fan, they went on to draw Rotherham at Grosvenor Vale in the First Round proper, losing 3-2:

I would like to mention the reception Wealdstone got at Aylesbury in the FA Cup. The Officials could not do enough for us and made a point of coming up to our supporters shaking hands, thanking us for our support and wishing us all the best - after losing a 2-0 lead and a chance of £12,500. I have supported the Stones since 1961 and never seen this before. Aylesbury are a credit to Non League football.

Huge disappointment for Aylesbury Vale Dynamos last night as they exited the FA Cup at the first hurdle to Hellenic League Premier Division Windsor, the Referee added six minutes of stoppage time following 'handbags' when substitute Darnell Ramsey pulled a goal back on 82 minutes and although Aylesbury Vale Dynamos were knocking at the door for an equaliser it didn't marerialise:
