Division 1

Rayners Lane 5 Park View 1

An anorak from another Forum was at this one today:

Rayners Lane 5 v Park View 1
Spartan South Midlands League Div 1
Admission & Programme £6

Park View are an enthusiastic team and a group of there officials who watched the game near me didn’t stop pushing there team throughout the whole 90 mins. But they are extremely weak in the centre of the park and were totally outplayed here by a side who I doubt are much cop themselves.

An easy win for the home team with goals at regular intervals in steady rain throughout.

This venue is much changed with a newly built social club, Middlesex were playing Wiltshire in county darts on the upper floor of the clubhouse - during the game we were treated to the sounds of the occasional one hundred and eightyyyyyy and some very cheesy pop music.

Paying to get in was a bit strange - Admission was taken in reception to the clubhouse although you can easily walk in from the street without entering the clubhouse and the guy doing the gate only got into position 20 mins before kick off so if you arrived prior to that you could avoid paying. A 16 page programme was included in admission.

It's nice to see Ampthill Town back in business and they have games in hand on all the leaders:

Theres big trouble in little North Greenford United? they are in trouble and there's no doubt about that.

St Panteleimon are back to winning ways so watch out the rest of Division 1.

Division 2

Buckingham United 2 Sarratt 0

This article states that it was Buckingham United's first win of the campaign yesterday at the expense of Sarratt however they had already won at New Bradwell St Peter recently. The appointment of high profile supremo Sean Devine and his trusted assistant John Walton will no doubt pay huge dividends at the Lace Hill Sports and Community Centre:

Yes, here's a match report, defensively though St Panteleimon are suspect and it was 2-2 before they managed to get two late goals:
