We will always use the away kit away from home unless a clash of colours, so we will no doubt be in away kit Saturday.

At the end of the day, it is the referee's decision on clashing kit colours.

I have even seen a referee in the past, order the 'away' keeper to change his top because it was almost the same as the 'home' goalkeepers top.  Amazing but true

Which is correct the away keeper can not clash with ether the home outfield players or the home keeper.

They asked for evidence of Slough wins at Hardenhuish Park - well here are two!

Blimey back to 1946 to find when we last won at Chippenham.

I see we had a player called Dog Sears who scored and apparently he was a tough cookie who liked to ruff up the opposition  ?

I wonder if he's any relation to Adrian Sears  ?

Presume time wise you just cannot make the coach/game SG?

I am going to a concert in South Bank at 7.30 pm so Hayes & Yeading United got the nod as it's on my way to the concert.

I just bought the Chippenham Herald newspaper hoping there would be a big spread about the fa cup game fit and injured players and a managers interview only to find a six line piece saying return to the fa cup after last weeks report v Dulwich.

So the town of Chippenham are really excited about the game or is it a ploy not to big the game up don.t be fooled always tough against them so about time we get one over them.

Been raining in W/Bassett just down the road well we should not be playing on a hard dusty pitch like we did when we played them in August last season.

Possibly but it seems for purely the purpose of the reports it's all been recorded as Slough Town.

1945-6 and 1946-7 the club was shown as Slough United in the Corinthian League. 1947-8 was the first season as Slough Town.

Sounds like it was a cracking game today against Chippenham. Wish I had seen it. Glad Ryan Bird got on the scoresheet. He needs a boost to his input for Slough. Other Rebels scoring today are Francis Armartey who gets two for Hendon but is on the losing side, and Joe Grant nets one for Hayes and Yeading in their 5-4 win over Hendon.

The unbeaten run continues although I didn't think we'd  need a replay given the relative recent forms of both teams but Cup games can evoke different passions Really pleased for Birdy the type of problems he and his wife have had to face you wouldn't wish on anyone!! May this goal be the first of many.

Nothing but praise for this squad of players for another fantastic comeback.

3-2 down on 90 minutes and with only a ludicrous 3 minutes of stoppage time to add on we looked dead and buried and out of the FA cup.

After a few close misses in the dying minutes it seemed it just wasn't going to be our day until a well taken corner in the 93rd minute found the head of Ryan Bird for the equalizer and cue the wild celebrations from the players and supporters.

On the 90 minutes itself my honest opinion is that our change in formation to a 4 4 2 with Max Worsfold and Dunny on the bench and playing Matt Lench on the left didn't work.

Adrian, it should be no surprise, it's the FA cup and form goes out of the window.

After half an hour, the Hayes & Yeading United season ticket holder sitting next to me said "if anyone can score, their team will win it 1-0". Two minutes later, The Mad Hatter's Tea Party began. After the match, the Hayes & Yeading United report writer said to me, "I won't have any trouble writing my one hundred and fifty words report with seven goals". "There were nine goals", I replied. Joe Grant was influential for Hayes & Yeading United throughout. Francis Amartey was not involved as much for Hendon but caused problems for Hayes & Yeading United when he did get the ball, scoring Hendon's third and fourth goals.

I look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday evening. I will tune my vuvuzela in perfect pitch before I leave home!

Recent form? They are now 6 unbeaten also, so was always going to be a tough game, as the replay will be.

Did make me chuckle this morning with RR comment that he didn’t think 442 worked, only 4/5 weeks ago we reverted to one up top because of injuries, and people were saying where will the goals come from and we need 2 upfront.... funny old game football ?

TBF I think when we started playing with one up front he did look a bit isolated and that is when supporters were saying we needed two up front. Obviously this changed when our midfield started supporting the one up front and as I think you said that we seem to have hit upon a system that seems to work for us.

I know formations can change according to the opposition we play but I just don't think it worked for us yesterday.

When I made my several posts I referred to recent league games  we had 5 wins and a draw from six they had 1 win 2 draws and three losses from six  Our form much better  I assume you are including their 2 cup matches and yesterday's draw in your assessment?
