FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw.

As RR would remind me, we shouldn’t take any side for granted but... I’d personally prefer to visit a new ground against a side (on paper) we should beat. What we don’t want is a team at our level (although I’ll make Eastbourne an exception!). The prize money is actually a little less this season as the decision was made to offer ‘winnings’ to the losing clubs. But still worth £6,750 to the winners (£2,250 for the losers).

Obviously I would prefer a home draw but as long as we avoid Truro away I'll be happy.

With Slough Town in the south-east section of the draw and Truro City in the south-west section, that always looked likely!

The trouble is not many people are aware how the FA do the draw.

Away to either Sutton Athletic or Flackwell Heath.

Their replay is tomorrow night at Flackwell.

I think we’re ALL happy it’s Flackwell Heath! Obviously potential banana skin but surely if we play like we have done recently and don’t get complacent then it should be a comfortable win. No doubt us Rebel fans will pack their ground out and we’ll make more money being away as we get around half the gate receipts.

Glen In all likelihood we will pay in a lot more than the  50% we will get back if we travel in numbers Sutton would imo have been a much less likely banana skin since they were one of only two  Tier 10 sides left  but a local tie  that should be comfortable has to be acceptable

The pitch will be the leveller (shame it actually isn’t!). It’s definitely a banana skin of a match IF we’re not in for the whole match. We obviously have superior quality and I’m going for a 3-1 win. I think those rumours of switching are pub talk and I’m sure it’s not even allowed anymore.

It really comes down to what the crowd is estimated to be. It’s tricky because although FH only get double digit crowds (in the 60’s and 70’s from what I’ve found) there could well be hundreds coming out just for this one game. Slough could take anything from 300 to 600. Not sure the crowd will get near to 1,000 but it should be a minimum of 500 and I’d say between 6-700. If the venue isn’t suitable then it has to be switched to a neutral ground, with Marlow being the obvious choice and I’m sure they’ll welcome us with open arms ?

And also disrespectful, I think. Their right to a home tie shouldn't be taken away. Surely Wilks Park can cope with a crowd of about 500 people - not sure I would expect many more. It cannot be as bad as Hanworth Villa!

Personally can't see us taking more than 300, twinned with approx 150/200 Flackwell due to the occasion.

Wycombe and Maidenhead are at home on that Saturday too so that will lower the main impact of local fan bases of other clubs boosting the crowd.

Yep those 2 at home will certainly lower the casual fan attendance. 5-600 sounds about right then.
