Looks a hard game on paper and is close one to call. I wonder if Mark Nisbet makes the team tonight?

Excellent performance. Soaked up some early pressure and then I thought we took control of the game, playing some really good stuff and scoring two brilliant goals. A superb all round team performance but I would have  given MOTM to Warren, scored a goal, helped make a goal and his usual excellent work rate. Good run this. COYR

Great first half performance, looks like several players are hitting good form..... Wells looked to be back close to his best, Roberts is improving every game, and Lench was outstanding.

If Hemel are play-off contenders then we should definitely be up there contending with them come the end of the season.

For the first 45 minutes I think we produced some of the best football I've seen for quite some time.

We totally outplayed Hemel for the majority of the half and the half time score line of 2-0 was IMO the very least our play deserved.

Second half Hemel came more into the game but the players attitude was spot on and despite the best efforts of a truly poor second half from the ref we eventually saw the game out for a superb 2-0 win.

Several candidates for MOTM but my vote goes to Mark Nisbet who put in an excellent performance in his first game back after his health issue.

Great game to watch and an equally excellent performance from the rebels!!

Agree with everything you say here. Slough were superb for the first 75 minutes and apart from two great saves from Jack Turner and Hemel hitting the top of the crossbar, for the majority of the game Slough controlled the game and were well worth the victory.

The whole team deserve praise for their efforts tonight and it's difficult to single players out but I thought Wazza, Max,George, Dan Roberts,Scott Davies and Mark Nis had standout games. Nis looked assured and you couldn't tell he had been absent. Wazza and Max were menaces to the Hemel defence all night. George was back to his best. Dan Roberts worked so hard and oozed confidence for one so young. He never had many goal scoring chances but he worked tirelessly for the team and made one of the goals with a delightful cross ball that he won off a Hemel defender, when it looked like it was a lost cause. Scott Davies looked comfortable on the ball and seemed to tie everything together by just playing a good simple passing game and not over elaborating his efforts.

Mark Nisbet was my man of the match, though. Understandable that Bakes and Unders took him off, to not over do it for him but he could easily have stayed on and in actual fact, the substituitions we made actually upset our momentum and led to Slough going off the boil.

Slough thoroughly deserved winners, my only gripe is with Bakes for calling for at our players to play in the corners, when we are winning 2-0 at home and had 6 minutes of injury time to go, and was largely being untroubled by Hemel, which was absolute nuts to me but I'll let him off, as it's his birthday now !

Many happy returns, Neil. ?

Agree, a great game all round, especially first half where we played outstanding football to get a 2 goal lead. Motm for me was scotty Davies, looks back to the player he was at the back end of our promotion season rather than last year where the game sometimes seemed to pass him by. For me it’s a very similar situation with him as to James Dobson 4 years ago; came back to help out in a bad injury spell, got in the team and performances dictate it’s now very hard to leave him out. Could end up being one of our most important players going forwards.

Oh and the ref was awful, particularly second half. The foul on jack, the corner which he originally gave as a throw, the penalty on josh. But the one that really got to me was the booking of jack; I know he had warned him but the Hemel striker took the ball off him and moved it to the other side of the goal which jack then moved back and got booked. How many times have refs warned oppo keepers time and time again to only book them in the 95th minute and then jack gets booked in the 70th because their player moved the ball?!? Consistency please!!!

Probably the best performance I've seen since promotion, particularly in terms of not compromising our style and dictating the tempo with good quick passing and combinations. Well done to the managers, the team shape and tactics were spot on.  Roberts was a handful, Lench drove us on constantly probing, and agree about Scott Davies, an understated performance where he read the game well and pulled the strings from deep. Both goals were a joy. A top effort and quality shown by all in the team and a good atmosphere created from behind the goal too.

Have to agree on our first 45 minutes. From the games I have seen it has to be the best first half performance since Weymouth at home in our promotion winning season.

For me, Nisbet was the final puzzle piece. With him coming back in it seemed to balance the whole side. Lee Togwell was able to play the defensive midfielder role and not drop back as far to cover as he perhaps has been. This then gave the other two (Davies & Lench) the freedom to create chances......Max is getting better and better with each game, after his goal there was some excellent exchanges of banter between Neil and Dobbo who was in the stand.....Warren Harris once again superb and probably my Player of the season so far. Wells looks back to his best and young Dan Roberts really is a nuisance....

All in all, the next 33 games can't come quick enough at the moment....COYR

Ade Shokunbi who was released from Reading in the summer, trained with us Thursday, and we got him a 90 minutes for Beaconsfield Saturday, and he will train with us Thursday, and if we arrange a friendly next week we will take a look at him then.

Did he play for Billericay last season Bakes or am I thinking of the wrong player???
