littlehampton
This Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round tie will be played at the QEII Stadium on Saturday, September 7th. Our opponents, Northamptonshire based Diamonds, play in the BetVictor Southern Premier Central Division, and after five matches they are currently 2nd in the Table, winning four and losing one. The Crowing Cockerel
Tough draw - and it already feels like a must-win game for AL.

Wildlife rescue
One point from a possible 6 at home makes me think we may be in for a very tough afternoon.
Richard Katemon
Probably the tie of the round. And in the week that Bury are expelled from the League how fitting that two clubs formed from the demise of two great clubs should be drawn together to show that fans can bring their clubs back to life. littlehampton
Yes, what a mouth-watering match is in prospect next Saturday at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium when we host AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. Diamonds, like Enfield, are a Club with a great past history, including a brief spell in the Football League, and numerous honours. Many Towners will recall we played Diamonds, just over a year ago (31/07/2018), when Town travelled up to Northamptonshire and defeated them 1-2 in the 2018 Dale Roberts Memorial Cup friendly encounter at Hayden Road, with goals from Brendan Adams and Sam Youngs. Next Saturday will be a totally different ball game, not least because both Clubs need the FA prize money, and will be very keen to progress as far as possible in this prestigious competition. A very tough, highly competitive. entertaining match is guaranteed, in front of a noisy, decent size crowd. Town need to make home advantage tell in this must-win match. Don't miss it. Let's hear it for The Town !
