Dulwich Hamlet away

That was the only piece of equipment Dulwich was missing was the electronic scoreboard. I missed the action when they hit the post Also was it Max or Joe who were unlucky not to score before wellsy terrific hit that defender headed over in front of goal.

Think it was Max who broke into the box from the wing and fired narrowly over not long before George's goal

There will always be moaners and those bizarre “fans” who only criticise when we lose and never offer praise when we win but that’s football unfortunately!

To be fair our supporters were generally very positive in the opening weeks when things weren’t going well and understood some of the challenges we were facing with player availability etc.

Plenty of tough challenges ahead but we know if the lads can give what they did at the weekend then 99% of the fans will continue to stay behind all of us no matter what.

Some people come to football just to moan !

Funny enough at the home game against Bath City, there was a new Slough fan who stood nearby to me and kept moaning when passes went astray and Slough's players got things wrong, yet I never heard any words of encouragement. He's paid his money to watch the same as I have, and is entitled to his views like anyone is but I never get why fans think slating a player off at a game, is going to make a player play better. That is something I don't do at games but I know quite a few who do.

However, I'm not backward in coming forward on this forum, if I think a player has had a shocker but to me that's constructive criticism! ha ha!

I think supporters who only moan and don't give any praise are more than likely to be that way inclined in their every day life, never happy unless they are moaning.

No problem with constructive criticism but give praise when it's due.

I can think of one particular “supporter” who I’ve never seen outside of the bar at home games who loves to pop up on social media every time we lose, usually to criticise the managers. I’ve never seen a word of praise or encouragement and he clearly revels in the negative. No idea how you can follow football and not take any joy in it.

If your team gives 100%, which this team always does, back them!

Ah yes MR Kirk, who is surprised? He’s obviously has a very negative personality and bleak outlook on the world. Maybe he’ll appear out from under his rock when/if we lose again...

Nice one Glen, hadn’t realised they were one and the same.

That is also some Bletchley level coding - missed it at first ??

Considering that most children now are under a constant bombardment of references to sex, violence, porn and general bad behaviour on television, computers, mass media, in life etc, I think generations of children are going to have very unhappy childhoods because we are making them into little adults before their time, so swearing is the least of their problems.

Banning alcohol sold in the ground would cut down on swearing a lot but that would stop many fans coming, and also it would halt profits for the club and besides that, there are people who have never been taught manners/values, and so swear incessantly as they don't know any different and don't think they are doing anything wrong. A lot of little Tommy's and Mary's have to live everyday under the same roof as these people, and end up being exactly the same as them when they get older.

Football is a game that gets heated at times and footballers have never been great role models for holding back on foul language and that won't stop anytime soon. The fact is  Slough supporters behind the goal, sing songs, which often they've copied from other clubs fans, so they just repeat word for word how the ditty goes.

Expecting fans to replace a swear word for a nicer one is unlikely to happen, as it doesn't have the same impact. I suppose you could trade the word F**ked for Cocked but then those hard nuts behind the goal might think they are becoming soft nuts!  ?  ha ha, not!

I think the notion of a family friendly football club has someway to go, not because it can't be done but because non- league football currently reflects working class family society [as it always has done] and because of many aspects of daily life now, it feels like we are regressing rather than progressing, and so we are miles away from finding any real solution to these sorts of problems.

These song were changed to softer swearing at Windsor and Beconsfield, but now they've came back into the songs just needs to go back to the old versions.
