Wow what a finale! At 1-2 down I just couldn’t see us scoring let alone winning. Manny coming on was an inspiring substitution and got us looking more threatening. Not sure you can say it was a deserved win but who gives a ....! Still areas to improve on but 3 games undefeated plus our first win has to give us confidence and no reason why we can’t continue this on Monday, well done all ?

I know some fans were surprised/concerned that we lost the first three games (despite the weakened squad) but just to put some perspective on that  right now with only 6 games played no less than 9 teams have lost 3 or more  !

Anyone know the attendance figure?

Still buzzing from that ending. Can’t beat winning a game in injury time.

I thought Matty Lench was great today but MOTM has to be Manny Williams. He changed the game when he came on, always finds space dropping into that no 10 position. We can build on this now and more wins will follow.

Think it was 735

What an exhilarating game that was. For me that's why I love football as a spectacle, that game had everything. Even if we had lost the game I would be on here giving our lads praise because they all put the effort in today, in what was testing conditions, and come the end of the match I thought Slough were worthy winners.

When we kicked off I was surprised to see Sean Fraser in midfield and the team playing a 4-5-1 but the way Bath shaped up I was impressed by our management's decision as it seemed we had the measure of them early doors. We got off to the ideal start with Dan Roberts well taken goal but as the half wore on, with Bath banging in two goals, our injury to Sean Fraser, and with a couple of Slough efforts that went past the post, I began to wonder if Bakes or Unders had run over a black cat, as things kept going from bad to worse, as the half wore on. Both Bath goals were good shots, with the second one being a real cracker. When the half time whistle blew I was glad to hear it, as I thought our team needed to regroup as we were hanging on a bit. The difference between the two sides come half time was that Bath would shoot from outside the box anytime they neared the penalty area.

I was well pleased today with Slough's attacking play throughout the game,as they seemed determined to put to bed the notion that they aren't creating much. An all round better display by our attackers today.

Second half when Guy Hollis got injured I thought we were stuffed but then came SuperManny! What a player!

Well done the whole team and all the management staff. Brilliant win and a very well deserved win. Josh Jackman had a big input today. He has come on bundles and now looks every bit a Conference South player. And he isn't fully fit yet!

PS What a strange move bringing that giant Bath player on and then playing him at left back. So glad they did that! ha ha!

One other thing that I should of mentioned above, was how fantastic the noise was from our fans behind the Bath goalkeeper second half. Made a huge difference to the atmosphere which reached a real crescendo when our team were turning the screw and applying the pressure to the Bath defence. Well done to them, too.

I felt bad saying it but I was right- the injury 2nd half was best thing that happened for us. The formation was wrong from the outset and when we played our midfield high for the first 15 we looked good- but as bath dominated and we got pushed back we had no attacking threat or out ball or help for Roberts (who was my mom today).

2nd we conceded the 2nd was inevitable as we effectively marked out of the game.

2nd half we looked brighter but for me the formation was still wrong- then the forced sub. 2 up top and we were the better team. Something that most of us behind the goal had agreed best part of an hour earlier was needed. Excellent ending and manny changed the game for us.

Well done all!!! Ps their goalkeeper is an utter knob. Winking and smiling as he wasted time- ref was appalling throughout. Not saying biased- just terrible. How he gave the throw that led to their 2nd their way beggars belief. An excellent ending to the game though and well done to the management team for changing the formation although forced which made the difference between 0 points and 3. (But it’s easy to manage from behind the goal!!!) wel done team and management let’s kick on from here!

I thought we needed to start the game in tight fashion, and while it wasn't the most positive move to have Dan Roberts on his own up front, I thought we contained Bath for a good 20 minutes and our three across centre midfield worked well together. Sean Fraser was having a good game in his unfamiliar role of centre midfield until his injury.I think it was Sean that lost the first Bath scorer and brought about his injury but up to that point he and we had looked comfortable against a top side in Bath. It was when Sean left the field that Bath started to find a lot of space outside our penalty area.Dan Roberts did well on his own first half and Matt Lench and Lee Togwell were influential going forward but of course, two upfront is always more of a threat than playing just one but for me a 1-2 scoreline at half time was no disgrace and gave Slough the opportunity to re-arrange what we needed to do second half. Losing Guy was/is a huge blow and I can't agree with you,DJD, that his injury was a blessing in disguise for Slough's attacking play to be enhanced, I just don't see it like that.

The way the game was going, even if we didn't lose Guy Hollis,in all likelihood we would have changed formation with two upfront in the second half, as we needed to get back into the game. I thought it was a wise move to have Manny on the bench[not what I said prior to the game on the forum] because of the blistering hot conditions. Had it not been that hot, I reckon Manny would have started from the off.

Anyway, we both agree that it was a great win.
