Over on the 'other' forum, it has been noted by a Hemel fan that Steve Browne was there today and Dean Palmer has in fact signed for them. Four other ex-Wood players were also present at the match, so no doubt Browne's sniffing round the job and having his cronies follow him from club to club.

I'd rather we moved on and signed new players that would be willing to help us and fight for us than those who simply upped and bailed ship at the first opportunity.

Also heard today that Hakki was due to play today for Tonbridge Angels although this is not confirmed - I reckon he and Palmer would take some persuading to come back to Slough and I can't really see Denton being able to do that. I sincerely hope that Mickey Lewis has some decent contacts.

Would you be saying that if he signed for us again? I really think its time we moved on and forgot all about the Steve Browne past...not like we are doing brilliantly is it?

Its Browne that got us in this situation through his excesive spending and bunch of hanger ons.

I would question the return of Hakki on moral grounds as the club/supporters held faith with him whilst he was in prison and how did he repay them - disappeared to B/Wood with Browne.

We need the skills of Hakki, but not for him to then dissappear again.

How long will it be until Ryan Williams goes off with his mate Bronwe again.

Denton needs his head testing taking back williams, as he was poor before and shows no signs of any improvement

Well, I didn't mention Steve Browne, but you did, so any chance of following your own advice? My point was about Hakki telling Denton he wanted a break from football to think things over. He doesn't appear to have the bottle to be honest enough to say that he is not interested

Ted, I never said YOU said about S.B..refer to earlier comments in the thread from other people. I just think the constant sniping isn't effective anymore. Yes his reign did us no favours but time moves on...thats all I was saying.

Unfortunately, it's a big rebuilding process. Would rather have done this last season than this with potentially so much riding on a top six finish.

It could end up that Maidenhead (finish top 13 in the Ryman Prem) and Windsor (Win the league & then their playoffs) could both end up in the Conference South should it form at the end of his season. Not a nice thought.
