I think tomorrow's game is very important.

Maybe not in relation to the fact that it's only the third game of the season but still important to build some confidence going into the Weymouth game.

I accept we could do with getting some goals and some points on the table but it sounds like the weather is going to be awful and if we haven't signed anyone of note, it's against the odds that we are likely to win the game. That said, I agree with Rebelsry that we still have a viable team regardless of the injuries and should have no fear of Concord. It's certainly not the start we were hoping for if we lose our first three games but given the circumstances that has been dealt us I don't think we should unduly worry about it.

So after all that, we have Guy Hollis back today. Hurrah!

Just listened to the post match interview. Didn't hear much of what was said due to the wind/interference but one thing I definitely gleaned from it, is that Bakes isn't a happy bunny!

Glad we have Sam Togwell and Dan Roberts to come in for the Weymouth game, our team needs a boost, how ever we get it.

I would say first 20 minutes were awful, the rest of the game we were well in it, and was not through lack of trying, just a few that were well short of where we expect them to be.

I was angry after as we lost the game with a shocker of a goal, and not taking advantage of a strong wind in the first half (first 20 mins especially), sometimes it is hard when you are interviewed immediately after as you are still full of emotion.

We have to be better in terms of not giving a team a leg up, and sure we will, however really frustrating at the minute.

Morning all. I have to say I was  pretty stunned to hear Bakes so angry in his interview after the match. It is great to hear genuine emotion from the management, but if it had been me I might have politely refused Ade's request for an interview until another time when tempers had cooled. I'm the first to admit that  I know bugger all about football management though. I have to say  that my feelings when I stepped onto the supporter's coach after the game weren't one's of anger, definitely more frustration than anything. I felt much more angry walking out of the home FA Cup games last season  against Sholing and Bristol Manor  Farm !  We could easily have come away from each of our 3 matches this season with a draw, and in that case we're sitting on 3 points, unbeaten and everyone thinking that it's been an ok start considering all the injury problems we've had. Yes, the individual cock up's have got to stop . We can't keep on giving other teams a  goal start. But not for one second do I think we are going to be down in the relegation zone come the end of the season.

I sent an email to a supporter this morning and I also said we should at least of got a draw in each game.

Yesterday gate was 253 there was about 35 on the coach plus supporters who make there own way to the ground.  The clubhouse is full of Slough supporters before, half time, and after the game we are all wearing the clubs shirts I did not see one Concord supporter in the clubhouse drinking or wearing there team.s shirt. No atmosphere all the noise was from our supporters before it tailed off. Just seems like there supporters just want to get out of the house or mobile home for a couple of hours did not see any sercurity not like at Arbour Park the ground was like Kettering.s in the play off final no covering down one side with howling wind. You get a raffle ticket at the food bar the number is how long you wait for it mine was 27 well not far off. How does a club survive like this not alone being in this league and top of it.

We are so lucky to support this great  club so at this time get behind it and the team. The season is over forty weeks and we have just had one bad one still thirty nine to go.

Well, awful playing conditions for a start, but thought we did not deserve to lose. Shot ourselves in the foot again to concede the first goal and once again the opposition were able to sit back and defend a lead. I can't remember them troubling Jack barring the 2 goals. Having said that we didn't trouble "Karius" in their goal much either. Our deputy RB, Warren Harris, was constantly getting down the right to set up crosses, but struggled manfully to contain Nouble, who was a big old threat. Guy proved he's super human for playing after going off on Tuesday on crutches. George Wells played, but probably wouldn't have if we'd had enough fit players.

Poor ground and no support, a bit like East Thurrock and to a much lesser extent Hungerford. Seemed like a Step 4 club, but with the minimal necessary upgrades to secure Step 2 status (I presume there are 500 seats, although it seemed more like 350). Toilets were like port-a-loos, the clubhouse had wall to wall TVs, but no real ale. They're punching miles above their weight.

Sounds a bit like sour grapes

Nothing of the sorts how do they survive and good luck to them for the season

I drive to Slough from Swindon get on the coach to every away game and go to every home game so i have every right to put my point of view and say what I see. And our performance was very disappointing but I am always positive and optimistic  for the season.

Yes it was a silly goal to give away but in view of the players on the field i didn't think were were that bad.

Yes we weren't as free flowing as last season but i didn't think we were any worse than the last couple of games.

Admittedly not many players stood out other than warren, but i noticed as soon as wells was back we looked more secure down that flank and I'm sure that will be the same on the right when josh returns.

Reserve judgement until we have players in their right positions as our defensive frailties affects how expansive our midfield are to support the forwards.

Bad start but it can be rectified in the coming games.

Lets get behind the boys on tuesday which will be another hard game.

SD, it's pretty simple. Clubs like Concord wouldn't survive without someone putting their hands in their pockets.

It's early day's and Concord will not be top for very long, having said that they have recruited very well from lower leagues and have signed a few gems especially the lads from Haringey Borough.

RR I have no knowledge on the financial model or workings of a football club but it sounds like you do. My comments above are what I saw fact, yours are what you know or fiction and guess work.
