.........it's building the excitement in anticipation.

As we are not signing loads of player this time around, the summer's a long one, so announcements about signings are probably better being drawn out.

Mind you, pre-season games seem to have got earlier and earlier, or am I mistaken?

I doubt they’re making us wait on purpose! Obviously this striker has many options but does seem to be taking longer than it should take but then again for all we know he may have gone on holiday for 1-2 weeks or other circumstances have popped up.

If it was something simple like holiday's or he's still on a contract I'm sure we would have been told.

More than likely the player has been keeping his options open looking for the best deal that suits his circumstances.

There’s 3 main factors when deciding who to sign for: wages, distance from home and chances of success. The longer this lingers on the less I’m expecting them to sign... I know N&J have other targets but my concern is the 2-3 weeks that have passed whilst awaiting a decision these other targets may have already signed and be very close to. But hey that’s footy you can’t win them all and I’m sure we’ll be fine.

Honestly guys, there are always reasons why things are not announced, it is not always cloak and dagger, but it is also about not having egg on your face for whatever reason.

We have verbally agreed with the player last week, however myself and Jon were then away last week, and the player is away on holiday this week,  we will however be getting it tied up Monday/Tuesday and we will make an announcement once he has signed.

We do know what we are doing some of the time ?

Chill and enjoy the summer, the season will soon be upon us.

If that figure stays the same, as per last season, I reckon Dan Roberts will be dual registered with Windsor.

Even if Dan wanted to go back on dual reg to Windsor, as you say it would probably be more beneficial for him to step up a grade or two.

I would certainly think Ryan Bird has been signed as that 20+ striker that we were short of last season.

If he stays injury free and re-captures his old sparkle I see no reason why he shouldn't achieve that sort of figure.
