I know a bit late coming to the party, but just seen Dobbo transfer listed by Sutton. Feel for the fella, shame the manager left when he did. Horses for courses I guess. I know that ship has sailed, but had they not put in a bid, would he still be here....

No.

Dobbo had already stated that because of his age time was running out if he wanted to make it to a higher level with, as far as I'm aware, the football league and being a full time pro his ultimate goal.

At the time of leaving his stock level was high so it was now or never for him.

I don't think he made any real impact at Sutton but I'm sure his agency will be pulling out all the stops to get him another shot at the National League at possibly a team a bit lower down.  

Good luck to him in trying to full fill his dream.

Havant is too far as I think he lives near Aylesbury. Not sure Maidenhead would need him now looking at their squad. Be interesting to see if his ‘agent’ can keep him at that level. I would like to see him back with us but we’ve filled that role in a way plus the budget wouldn’t allow it also not sure he’d want to come back so soon as that would mean his dream was short lived. Actually be nice to see an agent do some work and get a decent move for him, the only issue I see is the transfer fee...

We are reasonably confident and are not starting talks with anyone else until we have his decision. We will update as soon as we have something concrete to share.

He lives down Southampton way which IMO is not ideal to travel that sort of distance 2/3 times a week.
