Yes and no.

We are incredibly spoilt and I'm pretty sure the vast majority of other clubs do not get the interaction we get from Bakes and Unders.

Personally, despite our good form/success I would care if there was no interaction with our managers.

As you say Stan it makes the ordinary supporter feel more informed and respected and not just someone who turns up, pays their money and goes home.

Just dipping in on here after a few days . Very noticeable how many times Jon or Neil have responded to comments or questions. Got me thinking, are we incredibly spoiled or do fans from other clubs get this level of service.? Personally never have i felt more informed and respected as a fan than i do right now . It’s one of those count your blessing momermnts for me. An FA CUP game on Saturday ( yet another good run?) going gangbusters in the league and the club moving forward in all directions. Given their success on the pitch i would not care if Bakes and Unders were completely anonymous yet it is such a bonus that they are the characters that they are.  As I say, stop and smell the roses for moment.

Like you, Stan, I appreciate Neil and Jon clearing up matters and commenting on topics and am glad they do use our forum, and by and large I think most of the Slough forum users feel the same way but I have spoken to a few fans who are not as pleased with it because they feel that they are unable to speak freely and that they feel stifled by it, so they refrain from commenting on here but I'm sure they are in the minority.

My rationale is 'you can't please everyone all the time'.  To me Bakes and Unders have been a breath of fresh air since they arrived at our club.  I wish Steve Bateman had been as open, as our joint managers on here,as things back then would have been a lot calmer. Anyway, the forum and the Slough website has come on leaps and bounds with our joint managers input. Long may it continue.

Personally I can't understand supporters who say that they cannot speak freely on this forum.

It would be interesting to know what those supporters would like to say but for whatever reason feel they cannot.

Yes he had been playing, however the agreement we had with Hayes is not the same we have with Hartley, where he can also train with us, whereas Hayes wanted him to train with them all the time, and they were not overly happy with the fact we could recall him at any stage.Obviously we had a good relationship with Hartley last season via Smarty, and for Granty it is closer to his home, and one of his good mates in Adam Cornell is there also.

Just works better for both of us at this stage.
