Woking away

Their usual home attendance is around 1,600-1,700 so I’d expect around 2,000 tomorrow.

That’s with away fans too, and Woking away is a big game in most clubs calendar so probably be around their usual of 1700 tbh

Interesting that Dowson is expecting a crowd of 2,500 tomorrow.

The only time they've reached that figure in the league this season was their match on Boxing day against Hampton.

Dowson clearly speaks more bollox than me! ?

Talking of Bollox, Dowson mentioned that they've been practicing in training defending against Guy's long throw-ins. He clearly knows how lethal we are from them.

RR you was.nt at the game last week then to see our goals created from them.

A very assured performance today and I think the best thing to take from it is for all their huff and puff we restricted Woking to absolute zero in terms of clear chances. There's usually a big save from Jack, a great block or riding your luck a bit but there was none of that today. Really kept them at arms length.

Excellent result in front of 2543  Our next opponents injury hit St Albans lost at home today to Gloucester and if we beat them on Saturday we will replace them in the top ten and continue our excellent end of season run.

Good to be positive Ade but I'd say a little on the presumptive side, after all didn't Gloucester beat us at our place?

Would have been very pleased with a draw before hand so to win is excellent. Woking on today’s showing aren’t the best team in this division and I can’t see them getting through the PO’s. We restricted them to very few chances and we did well to chase and close them down. We had one or two very good chances to extend our lead but nothing can take away a super away win and again shows we can compete with anything in this league and bodes well for next season IF we can keep the players we wish to AND add additional quality.

Alan Dowson has slaughtered his team in the post match interview (from what I could understand!).

Complained that they were bullied by our “little baldy lad” in midfield and their defence were run ragged by 38 year old manny Williams, who “won headers even though he’s only 2ft 6”.

Great day and great performance from every single player!

Your right Glen, according the league table Woking are the second best team in this division.

Over the past few weeks and at other times throughout the season we have shown that on our day we are as good as any team in the league.

Getting into the play-offs and winning leagues is about being the best team on a consistent basis.

RR Yes but remember how we played  We've a few excellent newbies and a different mindset lately

You're right Ade but I'm sure St Albans will say they were poor today.

We'll certainly have the advantage of going into the game with confidence and no pressure with St Albans probably needing to win to keep alive their hopes of reaching the play-offs.

Excellent all round team performance and a thoroughly deserved win against a team that sat top of the league before ko.

I think we were the better team from start to finish, not allowing Woking to get into their stride and into any sort of rhythm.

Probably unfair to single any players but again I thought Lee Togwell and Matt Lench were outstanding.

If I had to pick a MOTM it would go to Matt Lench who I thought had one of his best games in a Slough shirt.

COYR!!!!!!!!!

rebelsry  If you think that's bad log into their fans forum  not much praise for us but team absolutely destroyed plus apparently one player was offering to fight fans at the end. shades of Billericay!

Apparently sub Harvey Bradbury offered a Woking fan out after he shouted F*** off you c*** as he walked off the pitch.
