Rebellier
Would it be possible please to explain the rationale behind our players nicknames? Various players nicknames ending in "sy" or "y", yet the player whose name actually ends in "y" is known as "Francis"????!!!!?
Stuntman Mark
The law of football nicknames goes – One syllable surnames become two syllables, usually by adding “Y” to the end of the surname. For example Lench = Lenchy, Smart = Smarty, Wells = Wellsy Two syllable surnames are often reduced to one syllable, by shortening the surname to one syllable and adding an “S”. For example Baker = Bakes, Togwell = Togs. This can also be applied to three syllable words, by shortening the surname to two syllables and adding an “S” as above. For example Underwood = Unders. Rebellier
But I think that "Togsy" sounds better than just "Togs".
Curtis
And Nojus is the Lithuania derivative of the name Noah..... apt for a goalkeeper as Noah was a great organiser and could foresee danger!!
