V Concord Rangers 9th March A

Concord are another team playing less well than in the earlier part of the season  In their last 10 games they've only lost once but only won twice The other seven games have all been drawn so 13/30 points  They also had a tough league game last Tuesday played in appalling conditions We had a confidence boost last game and have several players anxious to prove themselves. We should be looking for a draw at least imo

Unfortunately I think it’ll be a narrow loss purely because they desperately need the points for the play offs* and we have nothing to play for also they’ve lost just once at home so must have the best home record. *with them having been deducted 3 points imagine how frustrating it’ll be for them if they miss out on the play offs by 3 points or less.

A draw would be a great result for us.

I said a draw would be a great result for us but I didn't expect us to get one with only ten men !

Well done all involved.

I said before the game that I was expecting a draw at least but I suppose with 10 men that has to be a good result  I'm very pleased that one goal was scored by a player for our future (anyone know who scored the equaliser!) I can honestly say even at 2 down I hadn't given up Most of Concords draws have come when they've been pulled back and several time recently they've lost two goal leads  Both the clubs immediately below us before kick off lost  There is a very complimentary tweet from Concord regarding our travelling support and their contribution to the game

Seems Lee Togwell is claiming the second goal.

Perhaps we've got a new striker in our midst as that's two goals in successive games. :-]

Great result and terrific spirit being down to ten men for so long.

Couldn't make today, took my boy to a football class and his coach name checked Lee Togwell as he was in his Slough top, so nice to see him popping up with the equaliser.

This team and our coaching staff never give up and are always striving to improve which is great to see. COYR

Started the better side with Wazza going close early on.

Long way from the sending off incident so cannot comment only to say that Alex Wall is a big unit and in a one on one situation he takes a lot of stopping.

I think with 10 men and 2-0 down most supporters thought it was game over but a battling performance from the boy's got us a well deserved point and but for a blatant penalty on Floody not given it could have been all three.

Lee Togwell again my MOTM

COYR!!!!!!

Post match interview with Sammy Moore Concord manager on their twitter page now clearly disappointed " we didn't deserve to be 2 up" "After their man was sent off we played like the team with 10" " Slough thoroughly deserved their draw" He blames their long journey and tough game on Tuesday for their lack of stamina but clearly can see the playoffs slipping away "We've lost one in eighteen but the draws are killing us"

It was a superbly taken goal from Francis Amartey.

He did OK on his first sub appearance and made a big impact on his second sub appearance.

Sometimes difficult to weigh up players when they have such little time on the pitch so looking forward to seeing Francis Amartey in the starting eleven.
