V Hemel Hempstead H 2nd March

Our opponents tomorrow are one point behind us with one game in hand  Both teams are mid table and in poor current form but we are the home side and Hemel have conceded eight in their last three league games but more importantly imo they have thrown away two goal leads in two of these games and failed to win  We need a confidence restoring win and some better luck than we've been getting  I'm expecting at least a draw

Deserved win and decent all round performance. I thought Lee Togwell, Lench and Clifford were the stand out performers for me today. Dan had a solid debut and certainly didn’t look out of place, hopefully he’ll get more game time this season to get used to this level and how we play.

Yes excellent result  3 points and the first clean sheet in eight games  Both will go a long way to restoring the confidence and self belief missing recently. It was a strange day in our league with none of the first eleven teams getting a win.

On chances created we were marginally the better side in the first half.

We dominated the second half but for all our efforts it looked like the breakthrough wasn't coming until Togs stepped up to score a goal worthy of winning any match.

Good performances all round with Lee Togs and Warren Harris again having excellent games.

I know he always, gives 100% and the Managers always sing his praises butWarren Harris ,  the sheer reliability, and the non stop, effort you get from him was just amazing today .

He was my MOM by a mile , best outlet, best attacker , best covering play .

Never lets you down .

I thought we were the better team and deserved the win.We wasn't at our fluent best but our 4 players in midfield [Waz, Togs, Billy and Matt] and Josh Jackson were the catalysts for our best play in the second half and all of them stepped up to the plate to grind out that win.

Man of the match for me was shared between Warren Harris and Josh Jackman. Wazza was at the heart of most of our best moves and Josh Jackman has come on bundles and has proved to be very adept at getting forward and confident enough to have a shot or to set up a pass, as well as that, he seems to make up ground to get back to defend properly, when needed.

I liked most of what I saw of Dan Roberts. He has a good burst of speed, which we should be able to use effectively to get behind defenders, and I liked the fact that he didn't look overawed in stepping up to play in the Conference South, and appeared confident in his own ability. The only thing is he is lightweight and will find it hard to keep hold of the ball, as opposition defenders will use their physicality to shove him out of the way but he has enough about him to get in good positions and get us a few goals. Reminded me of Tony Boot, in a way.

Can't say I was over impressed with Hemel. They have one or two useful players in their team but were quite lacklustre as a team and created little but we only beat them 1-0 and on another day that could of grabbed a draw, as we do struggle to put teams away.

Anyway, in the end a much needed 3 points for Slough, which gets us back on track.

Thought it was a decent game in which we deservedly collected the three points. Was getting slightly worried that we wouldn't capitalise on the endeavour and chances until the winner but thought we controlled the game well.

Midfield all had good games. Personally would have given mom to Wazza who was superb.

Impressed with Dan Roberts. Real turn of speed which caused plenty of problems. Would certainly keep him involved for rest of season.

Well done Rebels

Speaking of the youngsters and giving them a chance, I wonder if we’re keeping tabs on Lucas Sinclair at Burnham who appears to be ‘ripping it up’ and has contributed significantly to a side that’s amazingly has already scored 150 goals this season!

Lucas Sinclair looks an interesting one.

Seems he's a third year scholar at the United Select Academy in Iver.

Previously has been at Millwall and Bristol City under 23's.

There's a video of him scoring a cracking goal for Burnham against Billericay this season.

Obviously there may well be numerous other clubs at varying levels scouting him but being so local and if we’re giving Dan a chance I certainly think Lucas is worth a try?

Sinclair was on our radar but as he’s now taken some poor advice from an ‘agent’ (and I use that term loosely) he will not be an option any more.
