Irishadrian
Dartford currently occupy the last play off place (7) but mostly because of their excellent home record No team has lost fewer home games They've taken points from 13/15 home games and won 9 Its worth remembering that we cost them 2 home points back in December and could have won it! If you look at their away form over the last 8 games they are mid table. OK we've been well below standard recently but for several seasons now we've been able to raise our game against the perceived better teams Why shouldn't we be able to do this against Dartford? Irishadrian
Another thing I noticed while perusing the form tables was Chelmsford's excellent record over the last 8 games played 8 won 7 lost 1. who beat them ? Slough Town! Another example of how we raise our game against the better teams.

Currently, though, Slough have become a Jeckyll and Hyde team, in that you don't know what team is going to turn up. We play well for 45 minutes and then we become like a pale shadow of ourselves and struggle to influence anything. Time now, for the players to stand up and be counted, not rest on their laurels. Mark44
I really hope our season doesn't fizzle out with the playoffs a distant dream now.... I don't think it will with every player essentially playing for their place in next seasons squad
Irishadrian
3 Spirit Yes I'm a glass half full person and Dartford are another team we've never beaten One recent draw and three cup defeats the last as recently as 2016 just another small incentive for an exceptional effort imo
GlenSTFC
This is my concern now too Mark, effectively the season is over as the play offs although not impossible it’s pretty likely not attainable this season. Yes we have the county cup but let’s be fair that’s usually the least important competition every season. I guess as you say the only incentive is for the players to earn their place for next season. I would hope the aim is to have a real go for the play offs next season and my guess is we’d need 5 quality/better players to do that.
Reading Rebel
The B&B is now the most important cup of the season, a bit of silverware. Our managers have now got one eye on next season and if the players want to be a part of it they will have to continue to perform.
Reading Rebel
Dartford supporters are certainly chirpy about their recent form and are confident they will get 3 points to keep up their push for the play-offs. Strangely the bookies have it even money a home win 3-1 the draw and 11-4 the away win.
Reading Rebel
Dartford have signed striker Darren McQueen from Sutton.

Aye, my bad, oops ? Looked in FlashScores under Suttons squad profile and he shows as a defender. Everywhere else he’s a striker ?
SloughFlyer
Well, on Tuesday the performance was embarrassing on numerous counts, today we restored some pride in ourselves. Perfect start and a great finish from Ben Harris, just hope he isn't out too long. Shame to let the first goal in which was fairly soft, but to be fair to Dartford I thought they looked very good going forwards and caused us lots of problems. 2nd half woes had the potential to return as after good start they go 2-1 up. In his Tuesday interview, Jon called out the team for their lack of character and at that point it was time to see if it was a blip in character, or an actual mood switch. 3 minutes later the answer was there with a well worked goal and a great finish by Sean. A few thoughts - - ref was very poor throughout the game for both sides and missed loads. - Dartford looked very good going forward and a shambles in defence, especially down our right hand side with Warren looking very dangerous everytime he got the ball. - Billy Clifford looked superb in his first game, great touch of the ball, very calm and assured, good turn of pace and had his head up looking to shoot from range as well. An excellent addition to the side. If last weekend against Hampton was 2 points dropped, I think today was an excellent point against an inform side. Good bounce back and, although not the win, a very good step in the right direction.
Stuntman Mark
Really good game today and a great reaction from Tuesday. I disagree on the ref SloughFlyer, I thought he was excellent although he got the freekick wrong which lead to their second goal. I thought a draw was about right but we might have shaded it. Very good performances from Billy Clifford, Lenchy, Wazza, Manny and Sean Fraser. Pleased that we didn't fold after that second goal. Only downside would be injuries to Ben Harris and Floody. With Dan Roberts scoring 3 for Windsor today , I'd quite like to see him involved next weekend if they don't recover and our arrangement with Windsor would allow it. 3spirit
I thought it was a cracking game and both sides deserve credit for making it so but for me Slough were superb across the team and edged it, if anything. I agree with SloughFlyer, Billy Clifford had a fine game and made a big difference to our centre midfield, nothing fancy but he was very confident of his ability and wanted to get involved in the play from the off. Credit, to our managers Bakes and Unders, too, as they nailed the shape of midfield today by bringing about a centre three with Billy playing alongside Matt Lench and Lee Togwell. I thought all three had fantastic games. Warren Harris and Manny Williams both had stormers, too. Manny turned the clock back and showed he's still a class act at this level. Wazza looked like he had the bit between his teeth and took the game to Dartford. He always works hard but today he made use of a lot of possession he had by combining well with our midfield and pushing on whenever he could. Our defence had a couple of blips but in general, held firm against a very good Dartford team. Nice for Sean Fraser to get back in the team and on the scoresheet. A thoroughly enjoyable game to watch, and well done to all the Slough team for answering their critics and showing their mettle. A great performance all round. Long may this continue. PaxtonLee
Really enjoyed the game today, very entertaining from two committed sides both looking to be positive on the ball. Can't be disappointed with the draw. A shame about the injury to Ben Harris as I thought he was having a very good game, giving their defence a headache and linking well with Manny. A bit better from Woods although when Jack is picking him out with a longer ball I don't recall him jumping once which was disappointing given his size. Clifford was excellent, always looking for the ball and trying to make things happen and looking forward to seeing more of him.

On Tommy Woods, I think he is improving and today made more of an effort to get involved. He does need to improve his positional sense and I agree with you, Paxton Lee, that for a tall lad he doesn't make the most of his height, when the ball is in the air and coming into the box. He seemed to shy away from the Dartford centre halves. Boys against men, I suppose. I believe a lot of it is down to confidence. However, he is still learning and he's probably realised that he will need to do a lot more, if he wants to make the grade at AFC Wimbledon, or even at Slough. 2 minutes ago, Craig lejeune said: When you say ‘critics’ I hope you include your good self in that...? Reading Rebel
I thought we played some really good football today and put together some really nice passing moves instigated in the main by Billy Clifford with Matt Lench, Togs and Wazza doing some sterling work. Dartford looked a dangerous side going forward especially the little striker (don't know his name) who looked a real live wire. Over the 90+ minutes I thought we were the better side especially based upon the number of chances created. MOTM for me was between Billy Clifford, Wazza and Manny with Billy Clifford getting the nod for an excellent debut.
