COUNTY CUP

Longshot

Unless I’ve missed something why has the B&B felt it necessary for a different county FA to make a decision? It’s their competition they must have sufficient evidence so why can’t they make the decision? To me it looks like they’re ‘passing the buck’ and if that’s the case frankly that’s an embarrassment.

I don't know but guessing that Bartley/Marlow have probably insisted upon an independent FA to make the decision.

Bartley has already said that he doesn't trust the B&B to give the 'little club' a fair hearing.

That makes it even worse then by being bullied by little Marlow! What I don’t get is surely this independent FA will have all the same evidence available to the B&B? It’s madness and making a right farce of. I know we won’t appeal if we somehow don’t get the nod but I would hope we wouldn’t enter next season if that was to happen.

How about if they get the nod as you put it, we play again with the players we were without by following the rules. Will not happen????

I'd guess the B&B are saying that by going to an independent adjudicator they've done all they can to be as fair as possible and that they are not as Bartley puts it biased towards the bigger clubs.

Unfortunately even with an independent FA if the decision goes against Marlow, Bartley and his cronies will never accept their decision.

Personally think we should let Marlow have the place in the final.

This is always the lowest priority competition for me and it went lower still when we got knocked out.

Yes they played an ineligible player but he wasn't Messi in a wig.

We are in a no win situatuon. If we win in the final it will always be tainted by this farce and if we lose was it worth it?

That would certainly be the easy way out.

I'm personally looking at it more as a matter of principle.

Marlow have admitted that they've broken the rules, so just by that admission alone they don't deserve to be in the final and as of right now we haven't broken any rules.

Not only that but for me the way the Marlow management and players acted during the game and at the final whistle was nothing short of disgraceful.

So do we just forget it and let the thugs win?

Yes I can see that arguement but perhaps we should rise above it. They were poor winners, scored an offside goal and fielded an ineligible player but we could just take the moral high ground and withdraw from the competition indefinitely.

Maybe Blatter could sort it out, for a fee, allegedly

If it’s true and the B&B FA get all gate receipts then you’d think they’d set the prices too although you’d hope they’d have to pay a fee to whoever is hosting the final.

You'd think at the very least they must pay all costs incurred by the hosting club.
