Todays Slough Observer - Britwell councillers

In the main part good news - they are to question all 6,000 home in Britwell to ask what the local resdients would like to see on the proposed site of Kennedy Park.....

Its is most important that they are fair and point out to the residents that without the stadium there will be no regeneration as the money will be forth comming firstly to get a new home for the Rebels and some commercial ventures to ensure that the football club is properly funded in the future...Most important !!

BUT ...The residents should be allowed to put ideas forward and consulted, and as a supporters organisation we would like to ensure that if proper and reasonable ideas were put forward that they will be looked into....

Strange how things have been distorted because in their article this time round it states why should such a project should go ahead for a few hundred supporters !!!!!!

When 3 months ago the article quoted that Britwell would be infested with thousends of football hooligians...

Come on ...be fair....!!

make your minds up.... !!

We are Slough people and are proud of of town and our Team.....

Exactly my thoughts PJ. They are doing the right thing in sending out the questionairre to 6,000, although I though the borough housed 10,000??

I too would like to see the questions being put forward as it will be interested to see how they are worded so as to how the answeree will be inclined to respond.

Producing ten thousand questionnaires would be a piece of cake. It's getting help in pounding the streets distributing them that's the hard part. Also, who's volunteering to collate and summarise the responses?!

If we thought we could get the support, then I'd advocate doing it.

10,000 questionnaires - in theory a great idea ! But if only we could wangle a way to get free postage so we wouldn't have to get loads of volunteers braving the streets of Britwell ! <img src="/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif" alt="" />
