Mark44
Was just looking at the average attendances for this season so far.....we are at 848!! looking at the conference season 97/98 we averaged 767......... Another example of how far we have come recently....long may it continue
GlenSTFC
Although that’s not a true average figure. Take out the games where there have been large away support and our average is more like 700. I’m actually disappointed with our recent attendances considering the 2 consecutive cup runs and all the exposure that brings plus a promotion. Just hoped we would have attracted more home support and be pushing nearer 1,000. I guess it’s going to take a bit longer and further work to get to this... Reading Rebel
But like for like it's still an increase which is good.
Curtis
If the 848 is the footballwebpages number I think you will find it is wrong.... linnets attendance table has us on 815 which I think is correct. If we finish the season on an average of 800 it would be an increase of 20% on last season, which would be a very impressive increase.
GlenSTFC
Bear in mind the recent 400-500 home crowds and looking at the remaining home fixtures none are going to be more than our current average? Our average is likely to be nearer 700 come the seasons end. If I have time I’ll compare average taking out the big home crowds to get a realistic figure. Windsor Rebel
Epic Rebel: I did not include the Chalfont game as I thought this was not classed as a Slough home game.

Ok I've included it as it was played at home.
REBEL MATTERS
I know of a few fans who were ardent supporters of premier league sides, who now watch slough week in week out. Slowly, our match going fan base is increasing, the more, imo, fans are becoming more disillusioned with top flight football money making machine. Slough does have a good fan base, only problem, is one week when Chelsea, Tottenham are away, we get the West Ham, Fulham etc.... fans coming to watch. Then the following week, its reversed. Will never get all fans in one place at one time. Unlike some places up north, where they probably only have one or two BIG clubs, we around here have quite a few 'London' based clubs. Still see positive movements in the right direction regarding our fan base.

We have already played the 1st. to 4th. placed clubs but we still have to play the 5th. to 8th. placed clubs. Welling United might not bring many supporters but I think that Billericay Town, Dartford and St.Alban's City will as long as they are still in with a chance of a play-off spot. I am in Manchester for the Dartford match but should make the other three.
