Think we have jumped the gun here,  already thawing in Slough overnight temperature is +1 and Ko +4 will be more puddles than snow.

Someone going to have egg on their face tomorrow

It was a decision made in conjunction with the league and match referee, of course travel has to be taken into consideration and safety (theirs along with ours, we currently have a snow storm where I am and due all night)  and the fact is unlike other clubs who have 3G, we are unable to sweep the pitch as it ruins the carpet, and as it is council owned that is their decision.

having had snow in Slough last week and a lot less than yesterday, it took almost 48 hours to properly thaw on the 3G despite rain, so a decision was made early to call it off and this in turn will avoid potential losses on things like food, coach travel, security etc.

We have plenty of Tuesday’s to fit this in.

Both teams have to agree to this type of postponement Its very bad in the West Country at present snowed from 9 pm then all night long delays widespread

I don't think your correct. When I used to do it at Becky , it was me the groundsman and the ref (if not him a local ref). all will talk and the final say will be made by the ref, but a council run place is a little different. So no the away team has no say in it but are kept informed.

Everything I said in the OP still holds good imo and I expect the three points from 21st Gloucester I'm pleased that we've got new blood and loanees returning to us We had a hard game Saturday Gloucester haven't played due to inclement weather since 26th January so could be fresher

I think this game is a must win if we still want to have an outside chance of making the play-offs.

I know some will say making the play-offs is not important but wouldn't it be a nice end to the season if we were still in contention.

Whilst Gloucester are near the bottom they seem to have improved under their new UEFA qualified coach and are now seemingly difficult to break down.

IMO Gloucester will set up not to concede so getting an early goal could prove decisive.

COYR!!!

Do we get any money for making the play offs, other than gate receipts?

I take the view that we are not ready for promotion yet, so why this urgency to make the play offs. I know it extends the season for us fans but I would rather the players have a good rest after this season heroics, and the promotion season before it. Then those that are kept [the majority] are ready for an even bigger challenge next season, to better this campaign. Second seasons are always a tough ones, as there will be more new players coming into the squad than last time round, and it takes time for players to settle into the team and get to grips with the system they are playing to.

Probably not but certainly would give us a bit more money in the coffers and only help to increase our support with the excitement it would generate.

I take the view that what ever happens in a season you grab it with both hands and then plan accordingly for the following season whether it is at this level or above.

Maidenhead's crowds have gone beyond the thousand mark because they are in the National League so I no reason why we couldn't do the same and even better it.
