RR Welling are in free fall. They are 22nd and bottom in the away form table .

They have had budget cuts, so have had to get rid of some players, plus they have a lot of first teamers out through injury. So, it's no surprise results have suffered.

Even before their recent budget cuts Billericay were not performing well at home You have to go down the league to 14 th place to find a club with fewer home wins I'll be disappointed if we don't take something from this game

January was not a good month in the league for Rebels : 1-2-4 F5 A12

Nothing to do with the aftermath of a good FA Cup run although there were two midweek league matches to catch up on.

Let's go again in February ... it might be a good month!

Sounds like the team put in a good shift tonight, after losing some key players.

To be honest, I didn't think beforehand, that we would get any points there tonight, so it's heartening to hear that our lads weren't outclassed and gave Billericay a run for their money.

I'm disappointed I thought we would get something from this one but having listened to Neils post match thoughts it would always have been difficult to have done better with a number of forced changes to the original set up

We were up against it from the start with 4 players, Lee Togwell, Chris Flood, George Wells and Mark Nisbet, for various reasons unable to make the starting line up.

We went a goal down but fought back and equalized with a goal from Ben Harris to make it 1-1 at half time.

Second half Ricay went 2-1 up from a free header from a corner after a possible foul on Ben Harris by the scorer.

We then went 3-1 down direct from a free kick, which looked a few yards outside the area and fairly central, but for some bizarre reason we didn't seem to have any sort of wall set up.

With the game seemingly out of reach we continued to press forward putting Ricay under pressure and deservedly scored a second goal to make it 3-2.

Ricay were now under pressure and defending desperately to secure the points and were mightily relieved to hear the final whistle.

Despite the loss our players deserve a lot of credit for a fantastic effort on the night.
