Reading Rebel
For obvious reasons I expect it to be a completely different game to the one played on Boxing Day. Looking forward to a tough, exciting game and a good start to 2019. COYR!!!!!!!!

Bobby Wilkinson and the Wealdstone players are under immense pressure to start getting some results. We had a dream start on Boxing day with the early penalty, an early goal for us again would certainly help.
StoneyGround
Hopefully we can put up a better display than Boxing Day, we were bossed all over the pitch. Only slightly better against Oxford, can’t see where our next goal will come from.

GlenSTFC
Very frustrating game... not at the races unfortunately and I didn’t think Wealdstone were particularly good either. Nothing seemed to fall for us and luck deserted us today and when we get chances their keeper had to save them didn’t he! I suppose this is the downfall of when you win 3 in a row, expectations naturally rise and I really thought we’d win this. Never mind I’m sure 9 out of 12 points is more than we all expected anyway. Don Juan DeMarcus
Not a great game for us. Started brightly and faded quickly. Thought we looked weaker second half without Harris- though on a yellow I think the sub was a sensible decision. Terrible marking for their goal leaving turner no chance- thought turner was probably the player to come out of today with most credit as his save from the own goal first half was world class. Our final ball today let us down. However a successful Xmas period but I think the league have to have a serious look at their fixtures. Both games between two team should not in my opinion happen so close together.
Reading Rebel
Poor performance and poor result. Having said that the players are not robots and cannot be expected to play well every game. Unfortunately on the day too many players had an off day to get anything against a distinctly average Wealdstone side. We'll just have to put it down to a bad day at the office and move on. Just to add I still think we are still in need of another striker.
3spirit
After two excellent away wins[Wealdstone and Dulwich], I was hoping for more of same today, in regards to points gained but we failed on that score. As GlenSTFC says it was a frustrating game to watch, if you were a Slough fan. The game started well enough for us and for 25- 30 minutes our team was doing ok and it seemed well set for another win but then we got complacent and stopped taking the game to the opposition, which led to Wealdstone growing in confidence. I was glad to see half time arrive, as we had become staid and appeared lethargic, and it looked like we were the side that needed a pick me up. I was hoping Bakes and Unders would rally our troops. Second half we didn't come out the traps fast enough and got caught napping to concede a goal. However not the end of world, we still had plenty of time to turn the match around. The problem was our fluency and impetus to create the right moves was way off and it was a struggle to create anything. Credit goes to Wealdstone there,as they fought for everything, unlike the Boxing Day game. I was disappointed by the Scott Davies contribution today. He is a fine footballing midfielder and one of my current favourites but today I thought he was well off the pace and just going through the motions. All he did was keep pointing his fingers and giving players his wisdom of direction but not leading by example. I felt sorry for Simon Dunn when he made way, not saying he was phenomenal but he was offering more than Scott. Lee Togwell made a big difference when he came on,as he is a battler and trier. He doesn't bottle challenges but can't do it all on his own. We were desperate for someone to make something happen outside their penalty area. Dobbo and Wazza weren't getting a lot of joy from either flank and their cutting inside was not proving the answer. The Wealdstone midfield also looked stronger than Slough in the second half and so I thought we should have bought Guy Hollis on at centre back and pushed Sam Togwell into midfield with his brother Lee, to give Godfrey Poku and company, a run for their money. Forward wise Chris Flood worked hard enough but was finding little space. I also thought Dejon Noel Williams did ok,without setting the world alight. He played better than he did away to Wealdstone, that's for sure. He got more involved in the game today and with a bit more encouragement and involvement in the team, he might up his contribution to us. The trouble is we need a lot more from him than he might want to give, or be able to give. Ben Harris was Ben Harris, started off well, got needlessly booked and fizzled out and was replaced ! Anyway, bit of a blow dropping points to the struggling Wealdstone side but nothing to lose sleep about. They still have some very good players and just about edged it on the day. In truth we did not create enough chances to win, or have enough about us to grind out a draw. It feels like one that's got away.
Rebellier
I wasn't there due to work/moved kick off time, but I was heartened by the fact that by my reckoning we have gone 45 league matches without defeat by more than a single goal margin, stretching back to 3rd February 0-3 at Tiverton! StoneyGround
I thought we just about deserved the win, as unlike Boxing Day we wanted to compete. This meant we forced you in to more errors and allowed us more of the ball. Think both keepers made some good saves and Turners one to deny the own goal was stunning reactions, I could have been asking Irishadrian for the lottery numbers if that had gone in. With Danny Green playing central and supporting Pratt meant we won more headers in the last third and then got more possession to cause problems. I suppose a win each is better than 2 draws, think you will be around the playoffs come the end of the season, but feel we need to play with more positivity like today to start getting back towards them. Good luck for the rest of the season

Good luck for the rest of the season Take away the first 10/15 minutes and maybe the latter stages when we were desperately trying to get an equalizer I agree that you certainly deserved the win. You showed a lot more desire and played a lot better than on Boxing Day and have to say our all round team performance was nowhere near as good. Irishadrian
Disappointing but if anyone had offered us a guaranteed 9 points before the last 4 games were played we'd have snatched their hands off. Its our first season at this level and tonight we are just 4 points off the playoff group with either 1 or 2 games in hand on 6 of them I'm content with progress so far.
