v Dulwich Hamlet

Yeah I was thinking exactly the same! Lots of beer bought but many of their ‘fans’ appeared to more interested in chatting amongst themselves instead of watching the game! Seems more of a meeting place than football stadium. Then again what club would care getting those crowds!

As in 2018 the club lost two friends I might have expected to have recognised at the game I was disappointed not to have had the chance to say "Hello". Agree with the observations about the crowd. I travelled down to East Dulwich from London Bridge and was struck (not in a bad way) by the discrepancy in the demographic between the people (mainly men-and manly men at that) on their way to and from The Den and the crowd at Champion Hill.  If this is where the future of non-league lies then I have no objection and hope that we can achieve something similar at our new ground in Horsham. Never seen so much beer being openly (and responsibly) on the terraces.

Glad to see Dulwich back at Champion Hill. Strange (but large) crowd though, seemed to be an awful lot of youngish people having a chat over several beers. I'm sure many weren't watching the game either, especially the Spaniards next to me with their backs to the game! Anyway, the club is obviously doing something right to get them to attend.

Ugly game, but excellent result, especially as our "small" team had to deal with their basketball sized squad. Well done Sam Togwell with the goal, his first for us I believe.

I was there though Dave and you didn't see me! Obviously didn't spot you amongst the 2899 others either! The crowd at the 5-1 game in 1961 was similar to this one, think we've gained revenge now though!!

I was with someone so couldn't lurk around as much as might otherwise have been the case. Enjoyed the set up there but it's been a long time since I've had to queue to use the toilet at a non-league match.
