v Dulwich Hamlet

Even though Dulwich are below us they seem to be one of those teams that on their day can beat anyone. Add into the mix the expected 2-2,500 crowd which can only motivate them then it makes it a tough one to call but after our 2 wins you have to be confident we can go there and win.

We still owe them for that near traumatic 5-1 FA Cup defeat in 1961 which was my first (and far from my last) away trip on a Supporter's Club coach!

Does anyone know of a decent place for a pint before the match?

The open air Millwall Bar on the south east side of The Den does not require one to have a match ticket. Then a 2.2 miles walk to Champion Hill. I do like my football at
3 pm on a Saturday afternoon but not both Dulwich Hamlet v Slough Town and Millwall v Nottingham Forest. I will be at the latter but I will be at Plainmoor next Saturday.

Probably too late but the Harvey’s Sussex Best is marvellous in the Royal Oak, Tabard St (10 mins from London Bridge)

Great result, had to work hard for that. Dulwich aren’t as bad as their position shows, if they had a better attack then they’d be a lot higher. Plus they seem to have so many tall players or are we just small? BTW why do Dulwich get such big home crowds? I remember them 10-15 years ago they were getting 300-400 on average. Although I got the impression today (first visit there) that a lot of them weren’t what you’d call traditional football fans!

Super result and a grand day out . Great club really friendly and the number of young / female or canine fans they have is tremendous. Ugly game but great performance. Special mention to Sean Fraser who came in and had a blinder. First half clearance was a major change winner as much as togs goal .

Not forgetting Jack Turners blinding first half save which kept us in the game.

With a near capacity crowd rooting for a Dulwich win this game was never going to be easy and so it proved.

Dulwich certainly carved out the better chances in the first half with both their wide players, especially their left winger, creating a lot problems with their pace and dangerous crosses into our box.

One blinding save from Jack Turner from a shot that was destined for the top corner was top class and kept us level at the break.

We came out fighting in the second half and started to cause them more problems with Dulwich still looking dangerous going forward.

In the end an all round battling performance from the rebels, a well taken goal from Sam Togwell and some fine goal keeping from Jack Turner gave us all three points.

Good performances all round but special mentions to Jack Turner and Lee Togwell for two exceptional performances.

Brilliant result! That's from 25 points to 34 points in 3 games max points! Wealdstone failed to score again on their own pitch today  I'm expecting it to be 37 points after our meeting at Arbour Park 12/12 over the holidays.

I never add up my roasting birds but with East Thurrock that would make 16/16! (A far cry from the Truro game.) Can I reintroduce the word bouncebackability? This squad so rarely gives up! Relatively easy win on Boxing Day followed by (according to Randalls Senior & Juniorish) a goalkeeping and defensive tour de force. We so belong at this level.

Glad to see Dulwich back at Champion Hill. Strange (but large) crowd though, seemed to be an awful lot of youngish people having a chat over several beers. I'm sure many weren't watching the game either, especially the Spaniards next to me with their backs to the game! Anyway, the club is obviously doing something right to get them to attend.

Ugly game, but excellent result, especially as our "small" team had to deal with their basketball sized squad. Well done Sam Togwell with the goal, his first for us I believe.
