Truro H 11th Dec

Our exciting involvement with a succession of cup ties has impacted somewhat on our league form Since the beginning of October we've only played 6 league games and managed just  5/18 points  But we haven't played badly most reports say our inability to put away chances that would have been certain goals last season is the main reason

Truro are having a poor season  they conceded 37 and scored in the low twenties and I do hope that we can restore some lost confidence to the squad with a good result

I really want to see Floody return to form When he scored one of the goals which won us promotion that was his 70th game and 36th goal for the Rebels now 24 games on he's scored just 4 more and we all know how good he can be when confident and on form Do hope he's fit for Tuesday

Bit of an unfair comment on Floody.    He has been involved in 25 of the 27 games so far BUT 19 of them he either came on or was subbed. 12 of them being under 45 mins game time of which 7 being even under 20 mins

Epic I'm aware of how little game time he's had but the managers must have their reasons for that  and it only takes a split second to convert a half chance!

I hope Tomorrow's game against one of the league's poorest defences will provide  opportunities for both him and others to get a good league win after a few weeks when we've played well mostly but failed to convert chances

BUT you still bring up that Floody's only scored 4, and I gave you a good reason why that could of happened.

Your still missing the point, IF the 7 games that he played in 20 mins or less was at the end of games we could be just running out time ect.

EDIT for instance Eastbourne away came on at 71 mins we already had 4 goals and a player down (Nis) they were making a come back. So not many chances.

Epic Probably time to wind this up but for the record my OP accurately reports facts and also makes clear how highly I think of Floody  At no time have I suggested that your opinions theories and speculations are without merit  let's hope for a good Rebel victory tomorrow!

Their goalie played well, but it was the antics of a few of their players and the terrible ref and lino in the 2nd half that wound everyone up.

I think we were poor in the first half.

It was hundred mile an hour stuff without any real pattern/control or cohesion to our game, a bit like we thought just by attacking we could give Truro a pasting.

We had the chances to stick a few away but only scored one and at the other end we seemed to forget how to defend properly and conceded two.

Our second half performance was a lot better.

Truro defended in numbers but a combination of Truro putting their bodies on the line the crossbar and not creating any real clear cut chances meant that in the end I think we paid the price for our first half performance.

Only a personal view but I think if we want to get back on track and have any chance of making the play-offs at least one new striker is a must.

Heavy Trucker

I'm not sure how you've concluded that Only 3 teams have scored fewer goals than us  we've relied a lot on an excellent defence  Our first 11 league games yielded a very acceptable 20 points but last 7 just 1 win and just 5 points  I'm sure the lads will be working on it!

Well done Wayne Kerr-Cartmel, that was the most spineless and inaccurate officiating I have ever seen - you were awful.

If you could get it wrong you did, and you must have been blind to miss so much.

Is this National League South going to be called the Fairy League as the number of players who go down with the slightest of touches is unbelievable and muppets like Wayne buy it.

Well done to the Truro six who out sung the hard core Slough fans – where have all the FA Cup glory hunters gone?

Are there orders not to shot in front of goal? As although we do the hard work the finishing this season has not been there.

Time for a few new faces and one needs to be a big front hard man to challenge the large backs this level has - sometimes it needs to be brutal.

A bottom of the league Truro travelling on a Tuesday night should have been 3 points every day – need to take our chances and this was one of them.
