Irishadrian
Interesting news item on the Dartford forum As you know Dartford are one of the league's lowest scorers and one of their joint managers says they have been trying for some weeks now to recruit a striker but only want the type who will fit in with their team mates and play to their ideas The biggest problem they've found is that clubs from a LOWER level can make much better offers than they can!! Shame that some players would rather play at a lower level for the money than play at a higher level to try to improve themselves. If it's all about money then I'd rather the player go somewhere else.
Neil Baker
You say that RR, however if someone offered you less money to go and work for a firm that in effect is better than you currently work at doing the same job would you go? football is no different. Money can be important to players as everyone has different financial situations and aspirations, plus everyone is different, some people want to push on and make a career for themselves and maybe money at that stage is not a factor, some are purely playing because they enjoy it and are supplementing an income and less bothered about the level they are at because they have no ambitions to turn professional. There are at least 2 Bostick Prem clubs that pay obscene money pretty local to us, why would those players want to step up on less money? It is not as if they are playing at a poor standard. GlenSTFC
Well Kingstonian is certainly one of them having just signed Dean Inman from Billericay (whom paid £27,000 for him leas than a year ago!). Plus Buchanan is reportedly on £1,000 a week. The rumour is they’re spending the ground sale money on wages which if true is a disgrace and completely irresponsible. The other could be Dorking Wanderers as their manager is also the owner/benefactor.
Reading Rebel
You're probably right Bakes. As you say depends if they're ambitious and money is not a problem for them.

During their previous financial crisis, Kingstonian sold Kingsmeadow to AFC Wimbledon and became tenants. After moving back to Plough Lane, AFC Wimbledon sold Kingsmeadow to Chelsea. GlenSTFC
You’ve obviously not aware then that AFC Wimbledon gave Kingstonian a sum of money (around £1m) when they sold the ground.
GlenSTFC
Plus you’d think Inman would sign for a few hundred instead of the near £1,000 a week he was probably on at Billericay? As I said he signed for a massive fee at this level so would undoubtedly be one of their higher earners. Sure he’s not earning the same at the K’s but I bet he’s still on a good £500-£700! OK. Point taken. Should go a long way at Isthmian League Premier Division level!
