Glen - what about when we be at Hereford at their place? Are you starting to see how last season's results are irrelevant to this one?

Hereford were the same level and a couple of places higher so how is that relevant to Woking who were 2 leagues above? Do I really have to point out the obvious to you?

I think we were unlucky not to have won the game, having said that, why was our top goal score on the bench second week running and Matty not been rotated at -all.Also seems to me(I might be wrong)Warren does not get rotated as much as others...Still role on Sutton I feel a win coming on.

Our tops Scorer (Matty Stevens) played all ninety plus minutes!!!

The results from last season don't matter at all, same level, lower level, higher level, the point is they don't matter (apart from possibly the 2-1 win at Kings Lynn to put us in this league in the first place). Woking were 2 leagues above us, now they aren't. Torquay at 1 point were about 5 leagues above us, but we got a point at home and but for a missed pen would have had all 3.

The point you made about the last 5 year's is that we should some how just be grateful to have the opportunity to lose 1-0 to Woking yesterday. Were as a few of us believed that not only could we play on their level, but also take something from the game.

What was your "realistic" expectation from the game Glen? And so as to not make it too easy for you, what is your expectation for Tuesday?

No you’re seeing things, I’m not saying we should lick their arses, actually I’m not going to waste more of my time writing replies to you as it’ll just go on and quite frankly it’s boring now.

I thought Sam Togwell has one of his best games for Slough yesterday plus Josh was solid and was effective going forward. Also it was unfortunate Scott had to withdraw as he was playing pretty well too. Obviously our managers are aware but our striking options will need adding to certainty for next season as it’s unlikely Manny will play a big part, Matty will be gone leaving us with just Flood and Ben.

If you are talking about the second top scorer, in Dobbo, he wasn't even on the bench as he was suspended for the game

Kirk if you can grab yourself a program at Sutton, it will include every players game time and starts.

A strange one. Didn’t deserve the win but could quite easily have scored 3. Thought a draw was probably a fair result. Love how people see it all differently. I thought our defence looked very good a misjudgment from turner and some poor marking gifted Woking their goal. I thought our attacking players put in a shift and had very little service. For me our midfield was anonymous for large chunks of the game- our best service coming from our full backs. Working are a good and competitive team that played the ref well. They will be up there at the end of the season. Think we missed dobbo yesterday as some of the deliveries into the box were poor. But as said by Gary look how far we’ve come and to hold our own against a Woking side who will be challenging this season is a great credit to the management and players.

Other than getting the ball out of the net, I didn't think Jack had much to do. Need to see their goal again, but from where I was sitting (main stand) should we have done better with the corner (including Jack)? IMO, I think both sides didn't create a lot. Can see why Woking are up there, but think we didn't ask enough questions of their defence.

What I can't make out is why people misconstrue what the thread topic is about. This thread is about the Slough v Woking game. It is not about where we were a year ago, five years ago, thirty years ago etc, or where Woking were.

If Slough are to progress, then they need to be competitive against every side in this division, and no one has said that Slough aren't doing that.  To be fair, Slough are well ahead of where I thought they would be so far but we have had adapt our style to do it, and for me it isn't always easy on the eye but I accept sometimes we have this to do that to pick up points. However, we still have enough talent in the squad to have a go at the supposed best in the division, we shouldn't forget that.

From my point of view, we were deserving of a draw against Woking but didn't trouble the Woking centre halves or work the Woking goalkeeper enough to enjoy a victory against them.
