Well done lads, buzzing for the draw tomorrow night. Interesting fact relating to the Macclesfield discussion at the top of this thread. That penalty shootout they beat us 9-8 in was their first ever and they have never lost one since including 3 this season already!!!

Let’s get real there will be no easy tie even if we draw the lowest ranked team. As we’ve seen already we’ve struggled (initially) against lower league sides so I’d rather avoid those teams. I’d opt for the draw where the club can make the most money. Anything else will be a bonus.

Along with the £125,000 odd the club made last season that’s massive money and I’m sure will be sensibly spent.

Quite a bit more 'odd' Glennie.

So home to a big side like Sunderland would suit you Glennie?

I'd like to see us progress further than we have before in the FA Cup That means winning the next game so I'm looking for a home tie against a team we should be favoured to beat The £36000 is for the winners only If we can progress then  a prestigious tie is on the cards and £54000 up for grabs  Win next game and we  have taken £85000 from the prize fund  with the potential to make it £139000 without considering gate monies and ancilliaries

Not sure how you think it is more than £125k

We got £47,500 from prize money plus around £70,000 from tv. That is £117,500, add a few thousand for making the first round and being in the pot. Means £125k is probably not far off.

All all that matters though is we are still in the cup this year and have a chance.

Fantastic atmosphere yesterday the tunes were still ringing in my head this morning. When you see the Supporters chairman clapping and tapping his feet you know we spanned all generations.

:whistle2:

As the managers have said we need to try and replicate that atmosphere at home and hopefully more younger fans will come along join in.

onwards and upwards

I could well be including our run in the Trophy.

Congratulations to all the players, the Managers and those involved behind the scenes, a truly fantastic achievement to make the 1st Round of the FA Cup for a second year in a row.

I’m already looking forward to the draw tomorrow night, and hoping for either:-

1. Away to Sunderland.... a visit to the Stadium of Light and an opportunity for us to play in front of 10,000+

2. Home to any League One or Two side (preferably Wycombe).... a chance to be giant-killers and attract the TV cameras

3. Home to any non-league side our level or lower - a chance to progress a step closer to the elusive Third Round

What do you hope for??

I don't want Wycombe. Doesn't excite me as weve played them in the past. I am torn. Do we hope for easier ride to third round or Sunderland / Charlton home (or away) first round. Don't want Colchester either (horrible club and fans from my memory of our time in conference and when they beat us in FACup 1st round 4-0 years ago).

There is no easy tie!!! We play a lower level team and we’ve got added pressure of expecting to win and look what happened in our first 2 rounds? I think we all want a tasty league side preferably at home to give us that chance of tv coverage plus a better chance of progression.

Do not want Southport either do you remember there stewards egging the supporters on as well as videoing us behind the goal horrible lot.

Then there was problems getting out of the ground on the coach.

That we in the semis of FA Trophy

Just watched the highlights again . Realised what a great goal Dobbo scored , any other game without Bens wonder goal and we all talking about the great drag back ,leaving the defender for dead and the arrow into the corner. Doubt he will score a better one this season ( Ben, a given he wont!)
