Eastbourne v Slough (FA Cup 4th Qualifying round)

The Eastbourne supporter who stood next to us said "you were too good for us" after having slated us and the ref all 2nd. half! Have to agree we were too good and it's amazing how we didn't win by 3 or 4 goals. They're decent enough, but we were just too strong and carried a threat, which they didn't.

Well done boys.

Great result. Hopefully as has been said above, the draw is good to us with a home fixture, and then we can see what happens from there.

Just seen on Twitter that the draw on Monday is taking place at Top Field, Hitchin.

With Hitchin drawing they must have tossed a coin to see where the draw will be held.

I cannot remember the replay for me it was the 1st game when we were 2 - 1 down with a few minutes left and every one around me on the halfway line not happy that Andy Deaner was still on the field then he hits a screamer in our eyeline from 30+ yards out for the equaliser what a goal.

Ben Harris you are Number 1 in the charts now I was standing right behind the goal what an unbelievable shot and goal.

You must listen to a stunned Ade on Rebels Radio as the shot is going in.

Fabulous display again from Slough no way was Mattie Stevens offside when he scored.

Brilliant movement  from Dobbo for his goal to.

Never spent 90 minutes behind the goal before singing non stop with the Rebels what amazing Supporters team and management we have.

To put some context to that goal, I think we won the toss and turned them around so they had to defend looking in to a very bright sun in the first half. I was right behind the goal and didn’t realise it had any chance of going in until the very last second. The only fault I would place with the goalkeeper is, that’s your home ground, and the sun must frequently be in that position and that bright...... GET YOURSELF A CAP!!

Congratulations to all the players, the Managers and those involved behind the scenes, a truly fantastic achievement to make the 1st Round of the FA Cup for a second year in a row.

I’m already looking forward to the draw tomorrow night, and hoping for either:-

1. Away to Sunderland.... a visit to the Stadium of Light and an opportunity for us to play in front of 10,000+

2. Home to any League One or Two side (preferably Wycombe).... a chance to be giant-killers and attract the TV cameras

3. Home to any non-league side our level or lower - a chance to progress a step closer to the elusive Third Round

What do you hope for??

I think everyone wants Sunderland away! Would be a memorable experience playing in a near 50,000 capacity stadium with a big pay day. Playing another non league club would be my last choice! Second choice any home tie that attracts tv coverage prefably a local/big league team. Just don’t want Gateshead away!

Sunderland away would be the last game I'd want to see come out of the hat.

A stadium that holds 49,000 that would only be half full as a maximum would be a soul less experience with no live TV camera's.

Now Sunderland at home would be something different.

For atmosphere and for financial reasons surely Arbour Park with 3,100 in attendance live on TV would be the preferred choice.
