I don't see welling as promotion material. Was their manager the Steve King who played for Enfield on the wing when they had a good team.

I can see them getting into the play-offs and with the attacking players they've got I think they would have a very good chance of winning the play-offs.

Don't forget they've also got a few players to come back from injury which will only strengthen them.

Kirk, how do you make that one out?

Steve King has won the Conference South before and has put together a good squad. I would say they will be in the mix for promotion come the end of the season.

Big strong side Welling, stop Nassim L'Ghoul and they come up a bit short, especially as Jebb got injured. Still see them as top 7, but Billericay or Torquay for the title.

Are Welling one of the "monied" clubs in our league?

Not sure about being 4-1 up at half time,,,, up yes but not 4-1. If you add all the chances then Matts header Nis corners x2. would be counted.

Interested that Steve King thought we were a rather route one/long ball football team. On the Welling forum, one of their posters also suggested this. Think when we play them at home we will surprise them.

It is evident though that we have had to adapt our game for playing better opposition. Not a criticism, just the way things need to be. Other than that, I thought Steve King was very complimentary of our team, which coming from a wised up manager, shows Slough are making progress.

With Mark Goldberg at the helm and Steve King as manager? you bet they've got some money.
