FA Cup 2nd Qualifying round draw

I presumed we’ve asked Jamie Jackson? I am surprised we’ve not been able to get a young pro keeper on loan.

That pro club would want their player to get guaranteed game time, and the player would expect to play. Plus they wouldn’t come cheap. Best bet is to register a free agent or dual register someone.

Yes as Matt has mentioned, we are looking for a keeper as back up to Jack, he took a whack on Saturday and has bruising on his elbow, and whilst he will be fine to play, we need to try and get some cover just in case.

You all know that we don’t put a keeper on the bench when we have 5 subs, however in FA Cup we get two extra places, and we would be mad not to try and explore the options.

We have spoken to a number, however the vast majority are either with clubs, cup tied or just not available.

We would not be going for a loan keeper for the exact reasons Matt mentioned, so eithe rlooking for a young keeper who has potential, or an older keeper who has experience but possibly nearing the end of his career, hence the twitter message, as in this day and age why not use a platform where it can get the message out to thousands of people, instead of just the amount of people myself and Unders can talk with.

Back in the day Wycombe used teletext to get a striker for the quarter finals of Fa Cup, so think second qualifying round for us is fine.

Granted I have had a lot of messages which are jokey, but hopefully we may be able to get a back up for the FA Cup off the back of it.

Got quite a shock last night passing a telly with BBC news channel on and hearing the dulcet tones of Neil explaining to the BBC presenter about why we need a keeper on Saturday. Looked up and there he was on screen larger Than life . Amazing a little text gets us so much publicity.

Don't spend too much time in Make-up on Saturady Neil !!

No it’s only daft when a so called supporter (sorry I can’t reveal their identity) only posts to moan and can’t post positive messages (well I can’t remember any!).

I would call that constructive debate, if you cannot remember any I suggest you see a doctor.

Must admit I’m a bit nervous about tomorrow... Sholing’s confidence must be high with the results they’ve achieved, and they have a couple of prolific goalscorers.

Being the higher division club, and being at home, I hope we can control the game from the start and score reasonably early.
