FA Cup 2nd Qualifying round draw

Does anybody get the rationale behind us being put in the South West section of the draw?

There are four zones in this round, teams who had played previously stay in there zones with a few exceptions, with the new teams entering filling the holes to fill the zones based on geographic location.

That's my best guess.

Zones being North, Midlands, South East and South West.

Haha bet you’d still say the same if we were playing The Rose & Crown Vets Reserves!!!

Correct Glennie.

Be confident but always respect your opponents.

As usual there will be giant killings, just let it not be us (that's managerial speak)

FFS don’t give RR more reason to be cautious! They’re obviously a very good side at step 5, but we are 3 divisions higher and playing with great confidence in the midst of a decent unbeaten run. I’m not concerned or worried, yes not expecting an easy game but surely if we play to our strengths we will win.

I know the 2 clubs talk and agree on entrance price (I think that’s how it’s still done?). Sholing would surely want us to keep the higher price as they’d obviously make more from their cut. I think if we keep it at £13 we’d get 500, if we reduce it to £10 we may/could get 600 but we’d still make less!

Actually thinking about it, I don’t think we increased the ticket price from the norm for the Rochdale match (and they were four divisions above us), so maybe the right thing to do would be to keep it at our standard home match price regardless of the opposition in the main cup competitions (FA Cup & FA Trophy).
