v Chelmsford (away)

RR Not sure why you believe this will be our toughest test? They've had a single 1-0 win at home They've managed to score just 3 goals at home and 6 of the 7 teams they've played lie in the second half of the table On top of that we always seem to raise our games against the perceived "better" teams We will walk out on the pitch at least as their equals IMO.

Chelmsford were one of the pre-season fancied teams.

They've recruited quite a few new players so a slow start was not unexpected.

Currently lying 4th they've started to hit form (as opposed to us) winning their last two games and are unbeaten at home.

Call me picky   ;)  but I think it all adds up to a very tough game and our toughest test to date.

On paper it’s without question one of our toughest matches. Chelmsford are a very well established team at this level, are one of the promotion favourites, are well supported and have a decent squad and experienced manager. Obviously we won’t know how good they are until Saturday but hopefully we’ll see a big response to the last 2 matches.

As it's our second trip into Essex in a week, and we had such a good response last week - 56 on the coach to East Thurrock - we have reduced the cost of the coach to £15 for adults, so book your place by getting in touch with Alan or Mike.  It leaves at half 12.

Well that has to be the most unexpected result in a long time! Should/could have been dead and buried by half time and we just weren’t in the game. But a much improved second half display and more resolute defending gave us a brilliant result. That should breed confidence going forward.

What a cliche of a match .

It's a funny old game

Game of two Halves

If you don't take your chances .....

Take your pick

Should have been out of the running by half time , not at the races space and time all over the field for them . Only wonder saves from Jack kept us in it.

Second half different game entirely . What bakes and Unders put in the tea worked wonders .

Suddenly we were closing everything down , they did not know what to do with the ball and we threatened every time we moved forward . Had one ruled out for offside but that just gave us an even bigger boost . Then Floody and Dunn came on and made us even better .

They will feel robbed but for us it's payback for Chippenham Dulwich etc .

Just shows we can compete with good sides in this league just have to get ourselves organised and disciplined from the off and make those chances count!

Yes a brilliant result and not a great surprise to me As I said pre match Chelmsford are having a poor time at home just one goal in open play and two penalties and from reports from both sides we ran them ragged second half I don't believe we need fear any team and with luck on the day could beat them all! Most important results like this build confidence collectively and individually.

As others have said, should have been a couple behind at half time.

2nd half was much more like the performance we need to put in. Took a chance and out worked them to take home the points.

Thought they were a decent side, but really ran out of ideas and a bit of steam in the 2nd half.

A result that was really needed after the last couple and hopefully we can now set a trend with these Saturday games of getting a few results in a row.

Jack today was superb pulling off some great saves the clip on Twitter taken by stunned home supporters behind the goal of his save on to the woodwork is a joy.

Tremendous determination and turn around by the squad as today showed its more than a team game in the Second half after being under the cosh in the first.

It was not just strong opposition that Slough had to get grips with today but also the pitch being inside the athletic track with the support down the sides being so far away could not of been easy.

Well done Floody with the goal. also Wazza on his 200th appearance what an outstanding player to have played for our club has given his all in every match may it continue.

A truly remarkable game of contrasting halves.

First half I think we looked a bit like rabbits caught in the headlights not really believing we could win the game, second best in every area with only some last ditch defending and some great saves from Jack Turner to thank for keeping the score level.

Whatever was said at half time seemed to completely transform the game.

Instead of sitting back and being submissive we started pressurizing and getting in their faces and suddenly the cracks started appearing.

I thought Chris Flood and Simon Dunn looked very lively when they came on with a well taken goal from Floody.

I was also impressed with the effort and work rate of Matty Stevens who I'm sure will score a lot of goals for us.

MOTM by far was Jack Turner.
