I was very surprised to see Perry Coles not starting last night BUT we have a very strong squad which equals a very strong starting 11 whoever starts... BUT again haha... At the end of last season, I felt Coles and Flood complimented each other very well and were very threatening, and last night proved to me, THAT AT THE MOMENT, the 2 of them should start games together... This is no disrespect to Ben Harris or Manny Williams as both are very good players with different attributes, just feel Flood and Coles should start together for a while...

 

Perry had a blinder when he came on last night.I like that he shoots on sight of goal. A lot of players dither and delay when getting anywhere near the goal area.

 

However, I think I would pair Chris Flood and Ben Harris together to start the match against Torquay and have Perry and Manny as our 'super subs' for this game.

Though,I'm not bothered who we pick, as long as they do themselves justice on the day.

Thought the pairing of Ben and Manny just did not work,it meant that Dobbo and Warren had to play a deeper role and it blunted our attacking options.But fair play to the managers they did not leave it to late to turn it around. Also have to agree that Josh is now showing real potential and deserves his run in the team.

Also have to agree that Josh is now showing real potential and deserves his run in the team.

 

 

Agree that on the night Ben and Manny didn't seem to be on the same wavelength. 

 

Perhaps it's just me but again on the night I'm not sure that the Scott Davies, Simon Dunn central midfield partnership really worked. At times they both seemed to vacate central midfield leaving a gaping hole down the middle.

I actually thought Manny played well first half.To me,he seemed the one player that looked likely to create an opening for a chance at goal.

I was more concerned with the midfield than our strikers,as I thought WSM were containing our play and shutting out our midfield from playing, which resulted in Manny having to drop deeper to get the ball and Ben not getting a lot of service to him.

WSM were fortunate to go in at half time one nil up,as they hadn't troubled us at all up front but that said it did look like we would need a few adjustments and changes of personnel to grind out the win.

 

From a stale first half to thoroughly enjoyable second 45, it was pleasing to go home happy.

Bet their physio wasn't cheerful going home,after giving it large to our fans,when WSM were leading.Probably went home and kicked the cat.

There were also others out there last night that also deserve their run in the team and that is what the managers have to juggle

Do the highlights of the game still go online? Don't think I've seen any last year. I missed their goal and had a terrible view of both of ours!

They do, I believe there's a waiting period between them going on the league site (minus sponsors and replays) and then going on our site with the usual idents, replays etc.

Slough Town v Hampton & Richmond Borough highlights are on the club website. That was our only home match before Weston Super Mare. I am looking forward to seeing the highlights of that match soon.

It was working when i got into ground at 19.25 then went on blink.

Anyone know what up with the electronic scoreboard?

 

Brand new and not working. I think it was playing up as far back as pre-season.
