Slough Town v Weston-super-Mare at Home 14/08/2018 7.45pm

This looks like a great opportunity to record our first home win of the season..... bookies odds Slough Evens, Draw 12/5, Weston 9/4.

Weston have one point from their three matches so far, and in their only away match lost 4-1 at Wealdstone on the opening day of the season.

They appear to have the ability to score, having done so in all three of their matches, but at the other end have conceded a total of 8.

My predictions:-

1. James Dobson to return to the starting line up

2. Final score: Slough Town 3 Weston-super-Mare 1 (Dobson, Flood, B Harris)

3. Attendance : 600

Have your say......

I’m confident if we play as we have done, create as many chances (but more clinical) then we’ll win tomorrow night. I’m sure the team will be shuffled but let’s be honest any of the 18 won’t weaken us. Difficult to predict the crowd as any midweek will always be lower than a Saturday but with it still being school holidays and we’ve just won (minus the fact they’ll be next to no away support) I’ll be pleased if it’s in the 600’s.

If we put our chances away we have every chance of getting the 3 points.

WSM apparently very unlucky not to get the points against St Albans so don't think it'll be easy by any means.

My starting 11:

                    Turner

Fraser  Hollis  S Togwell (if fit)  Wells

W Harris  L Togwell  Dunn  Dobson

              B Harris  Coles

I think we should have enough to turn Weston Super Mare over at home.

I would also pair Guy and Sam together in centre of defence, with one eye being on the Torquay game for them both, too. Mark Nisbet has done nothing wrong but I think we will need a physical edge to our game against Torquay.

I would stick with Josh for WSM game but bring in Sean for Torquay match. Other than that,RR,I wouldn't disagree with your starting eleven for tomorrow's game.

With Sean on the bench on Saturday I'd say he'll almost definitely get the nod tomorrow with Jackman being the more physical player in for the Torquay game.

Really?

I thought Josh put over a superb cross in for Ben Harris's winning goal and has been doing well, so for me he would start the game against WSM.

Sean's a fitness guru,so you don't need to worry about him not being ready for any game. I would favour his experience for the Torquay match.

Certainly no question mark over Sean's fitness.

My reasoning is that Torquay look to be a team of absolute giants who rely very much on their physicality in the air and Josh being the bigger man could be the obvious choice.

I wouldn’t even consider saving/resting players for the Torquay match on Saturday.... I would focus entirely on getting the three points against Weston.

As Gloucester fans were saying, you need to maximise the number of points you pick up from clubs anticipated to finish in the bottom 8.

Just so you know, we will never rest players for specific games, however we will still continue with our rotation, as we believe in the full squad of players, and genuinely at present don’t have a strongest eleven, as there would be so many 50/50 calls if we did have to pick one.

No one is saying about resting players. As Bakes labels it 'it's about squad rotation'.

Dreadful performance for 65 minutes where you wouldn’t have thought we were capable of stringing half a dozen passes together or hitting the target with a shot..... and then it all changed, was it inspired substitutions or a last roll of the dice?

Personally I don’t care which one it was, or if it was Weston running out of steam (they were leading 2-0 on Saturday and lost 3-2), I’m just pleased we came away with the three points.
