Ironic that a game being played twenty minutes from where I live, I can not get to! Plenty of parking at Evesham, clubhouse is ok. Very long walk into town if anyone that way inclined. As a Director of a local community rugby league club, my priority today has to be our West of England Cup Final down in Bristol.  I have a few mates who are City fans, so would be nice to hear of a win, to wind them up about.

Is there a bus that passes the ground.

Steve I looked into bus routes as I’m coming on the train too. But it seems none stop near the ground and you’d still need to walk 10-15 minutes so I’m getting a taxi as I don’t fancy the 40 odd minute walk from the station!

Glen i found bus station 4 minutes walk from train station no bus 540 bay B. Leaves 13.48pm.

my train gets in 13.19

Great result and relief to get that first win. I thought before the game Gloucester would be a lower mid table side and from what I saw nothing has changed my opinion. Couple of shots against the post, their keeper made some decent saves and better finishing from us could have seen us very comfortably win today. Hopefully we can continue with another dominant performance and result on Tuesday.

A good win by the sounds of it. By what I've read, Gloucester seem to be one of the weaker sides in the division but that doesn't mean a slip up couldn't of happened. Glad we're returning with the three points.

 

I thought we would have 6 points from our first three games,as I thought we would beat Hampton and Gloucester but lose to Chippenham,so we are two points down in my book but I think we should get another three against Weston Super Mare, then comes the home toughie against Torquay. If we can go into that game on the back of two wins, it would be great for confidence, when going against one of the favourites for the title.

 

Can anyone tell me how our midfield shaped up today ie, was it a diamond or the normal two wingers? As with no Dobbo to start,wondered how they adapted.

Interesting talking to some GC fans. They would have been very happy with a draw today. They see this league as a series of mini leagues and think they are in the bottom one and need to beat the sides around them 8 teams or so , hope for something when they play someone out of the middle section ( where they put us ! ) and think they will get zilch out of the top set like welling, dartford bilious etc. They say this league has been like that for the last couple of seasons. Not the sort of league where you get Many surprises so important to win the games you should!
