Greetings, good to see another football season begin. knowing that it is early doors but what are your first impressions? we played Blyth (was a 7am start for them, longest journey of the season) they finished 10th last season, had been knocking on the playoff door for most of the season....not overly impressed by them, had harder games last season. Wishing you all the best for this season.

We’ve put up with enough crap from opposing teams where we are always saying ‘we need someone a little nastier in there’ (Callum Donnelly for one). Ben Harris has received 2 yellow cards in 13 appearances for us so either he fools a lot of refs or maybe he’s just good at reading a game and when oppo teams have one or two players out of their depth (number 6 today for example) and utilising that by playing on the edge. You’re right, I’d hate for us to be playing against him but, for once, we are not so I will take it tbh!!!

Don’t think anyone disagrees with yours or Bakes view Radders... Just didn’t like the middle finger gesture that’s all, the rest of it is gamesmanship!

Much as expected really from pre season and seeing other games all,the teams are much bigger physically but have lots of pace around the team as well so are a threat on the break . Not necessarily more skilful and rely on that pace and organisation. All games will be more physically demanding with no 'easy' ones ,but if you want to play with the big boys....

I thought Hampton's number 6 had a good game and played honestly. Only a young lad but I didn't think he was out of his depth at all. To me a good manager will get more out of him.Saw bags of potential in him. Perhaps he was a touch naive but nothing wrong in that, if you are still learning your trade.

As for Ben Harris,he will get found out eventually by refs because the way he is going he will get a bad reputation. He can fool some people sometimes but he can't fool people all the time.

Picking on a young lad defender[no 6] was an easy target. He was extremely lucky to get that free kick awarded to him, as most of the supporters near me,close to the incident, thought it should have gone the other way.

I'm not anti-Ben Harris, as he is a more than capable footballer but the way he is going about his game is certainly not endearing. He is likely to get himself into all sorts of hot water,if he keeps playing this way. He nearly came unstuck with the Borehamwood player in the recent friendly. Not every player will stand for his shenanigans.

I'll like to see him be so cocky when he's playing, say a 6ft 5' Torquay centre half !

The number 6 was awful, possibly one of the worst defensive performances I’ve seen for a while. The only potential he had was the potential to foul someone or the potential to head the ball out of play. Sorry but I will not be swung on this one, that was the way I, along with many others around me, saw his performance.

That's fair enough. Everyone sees their own way.

Radders you stand behind the goal, don't you? I think you get to see the goal attempts well but I don't think it's the best place to see what players positionally are doing.

We will have to agree to disagree on their number 6. It's a strange one, though, because I thought he had plenty of promise and wasn't awful.

If he was that awful why did we only score one goal?
