Beaconsfield Town

Maybe not, but can still see them pushing for the play offs this season.

I think Gary Meakin is a good manager and will keep Beaconsfield out of trouble. Trouble is with such meagre crowds they are limited in how far they will progress.

I've pencilled in quite a few of their games to watch this season, when Slough are a long distance away or are not playing.

Beaconsfield are a decent team, and will do well this season, we had enough chances to win the game especially late on, but they had their chances also.

They have some financial backing now, so don’t be surprised for them to be pushing some of the top teams, their team is hard working and one of the better step 3 teams we played pre season.

Afraid not we both agreed to keep the teams quiet, so not our place to divulge their team.

Fair enough on your part,Neil. Not asking you to break anyone's trust.

Seems very over the top on Beaconsfield's part, though. Not a great way to attract support, if you don't know who plays for them ! After all their season get's underway next week and surely it's past the time players will be lured elsewhere.

Bit pathetic,if you ask me.

Not really when you look at the many last minute deals, our opponents signed 3 today!

Bit of a misnomer, really, as Craig Dundas was already announced two days before on their forum and Ogo Obi had already appeared in quite a few of their friendlies for them.

So instead of three new signings,it was one in essence. Just a great way of hyping it up.

Beaconsfield should seek some publicity for a couple of their signings, as they need to grow their fan base.

Being ultra cautious and secretive hardly helps draw punters to them.

It's just a game of football, not military manoeuvres !

Maybe they are more concerned about the football, and surprising a few teams and going completely under the radar (which they will) than they are about getting a potential few extra fans through the gates.

But are they really going under the radar? Can't see anyone being fooled,as you only have to google their manager to know what he's achieved, and they put themselves forward when they gained promotion last season.

The manager might not be bothered about a few extra fans but I know the chairman/club is.
