Raingod
Didn't finish typing ... Any thoughts on the pre season games announced so far? - there was a general feeling that last years fixtures werent strong enough .. only 1 of 7 being against higher opposition. This year 1 in 5 against higher opposition (and will oxford send a senior team?), although 2 games against teams competing at step 3 in 2018/9 ( Rushden newly promotied, and Hendon were penalty kicks away from promotion to Vanarama South) Plus the fixtures get more challenging closer to start of the season so an improvement on last season. TULACH ARD
Greenwich on a tuesday evening seems strange. Are Rushden still playing at their old ground? I was under the impression they played at Princes Park, home of Dartford FC? Their website, however, still says Eltham? Either way, it's a fifteen minute drive to both for me! AnfieldTowner
There seems to have been a few changes to the pre-season friendlies that I only noticed this morning. The previously advertised Greenwich Borough game on Tuesday 17th July seems to have been swapped for an away game at Beaconsfield Town. The two games on Saturday 21st July have been clarified as Ware away with a first team emphasis and Walthamstow away with an U23s team emphasis. Also the home game against Clapton Academy on 7th August has been re-classified as an U23s team emphasis.
