Best of luck to Steve Easterbrook. Think he deserves a good rest. This supporter appreciates all he has done for the club.

I bet Bakes is losing sleep with the imminent arrival of John Porter as acting chairman, ha ha !

I remember joking with both of them, when John joined the club, that  JP would end up being Neil's boss but not for one minute did I think it would come true !  This power hungry man they've created ! lol!

Good luck John but who's going to do the grilling of the managers on their post match interviews?  I always thought you interrogated them well [I mean interviewed!] :-]

Legend ?

The man summed up in one word!

I remember going to the public presentation of the plans for the new ground. I was so impressed with the professionalism and pleasantness of the way everything was presented. I still feel the same each time that I go to a match at Arbour Park.

As one of many fans who sat in the gallery at the Slough Council meetings when the debate was about a new stadium at the beginning of his tenure we all saw the professional approach passion and desire Steve had for the long term future of the club.

With all the set backs that occurred along the way he could easily of given up but we were fortunate that he stuck with it bringing in two great managers who have bought the club great success over the last six years so rewarding him everything he deserved and more to come.

Thank you Steve  COYREBELS

i,m sorry to see steve leave his post, i can understand it but i'm sorry just the same. families like the easterbrooks are far and few between. to replace steve is going to be a very difficult thing to do, we cannot be that lucky twice can we! I wish steve , sally and family well for the future and look forward to seeing them at games in the coming seasons. Well done steve .

Just as a matter of interest, and with no wish to rush Steve out of the door but Wealdstone ex chairman Peter Marsden had a good few bob that he threw into the Wealdstone pot. Now clubless, he might be worth an approach even if it was only for a couple of seasons or if he could be persuaded to become a sponsor or director , as he has experience of being a chairman at a football league club and with Steve  could be a worthwhile candidate, to form an alliance to help take our club forward.
