Sir Rebel1965
Now that the season is over and all the leagues have finished adding up the points, it can clearly be seen that the competition in our league at the top was the toughest. No other league got anywhere close to the top 5 all having 97 or more points. That is not saying the rest of this league was weak, other than a couple at the bottom, but there were no easy games where you were guaranteed 3 points. You had to go into each game and make sure you won it and not switch off, and if you did you would pay the price – and we paid for that several times! As did others in the top 5. So to gain promotion from such a tough league with the likes of the professional Hereford present just goes to show what an achievement it has been this year. But it was good preparation for the coming season where the demands will be that level higher and mistakes punished that much more readily. GlenSTFC
Yes not sure you’ll see a league like it again where the top 5 all had a minimum of 97 points, crazy really! Just so relieved to be out of it now and we can go into this new season with no pressure really aside from making sure we stay in it! As long as we’re mainly competitive we can enjoy visiting all these new grounds, hopefully if the fixtures work out a few weekends away too. Now the pain of waiting for news on players ins and outs, friendlies announcements, season ticket news etc...
Curtis
There’s a web-site here that attempts to rank non-league clubs in a similar way to the FIFA rankings system:- http://nonleagueranking.com/index.php Currently ranks us 64th, (Hereford 42nd, Billericay 58th, Altrincham 67th), we’ve moved up from 151st in October 2015.
