I beliveve  that in 1992-1993 season, we won promotion back to the Conference, after finishing 2nd to Enfield. As Enfiled allegedly cooked their books

Allegedly they stated that the bar takings were part of the club finnances. The Vauxhall Conference after investigation found out, that the bar takings belonged to a 3rd party

I remember Enfield were something like 15 points clear towards the end of the season then Slough (in 2nd) played them at Wexham Park and they took us apart 1-4. Felt incredibly glum --- until the summer time!

I seem to remember they had a nightclub at the ground,maybe they were counting there bar takings,funny things go on in football at all levels.

Supporters formed Enfield Town & eventually moved to QE II stadium, the old club became Enfield 1893 & play at Brimsdown. Enfield F.C's ground at Southbury Road was sold off & it's now a cinema complex linked to a retail park. The original floodlights from the Dolphin Stadium were purchased from STFC and installed at Southbury Road by the way!

 

Enfield F.C. was a big non league club in it's day, but now Enfield Town F.C. is thriving in its place. Pretty sure the speculator who bought the club is sitting pretty on his pile of cash...............

Wealdstone currently have a squad of 24 made up of 2 keepers, 8 defenders, 10 midfielders and 4 strikers.

 

Cannot see them going into the season with that size of squad so I expect some more to be shipped out.

Yes 24 is too large but they may have a reserve side? Unlike us that’ll be too many, we currently have 19.

Seems Wealdstone disbanded their reserves in 2010.

 

24 that's assuming Alan Inns, Harrison Gilkes and Ben Harris recover sufficiently to remain part of the squad.
