Conference South

Bit of a difference between H&R and us though. We have just been promoted whilst they have made the playoffs in the last two season, just missing out on promotion on penalties. It would be fairly questionable if the H&R manager didn’t say he was aiming for playoffs.

Jafooly, I don't see much of a difference, as Hampton and Richmond fc will have a completely different squad, to that which made the play offs.

I think Hampton fans are gullible, if they think they will make the play offs this season, when such a rebuild is taking place. Not saying Gary McCann's side can't be successful over time but just think it will be a stiffer challenge than he alluded to at their fans forum.

So to me, Slough and Hampton are new sides to the Conference South.

I think Gary McCann was just putting his point across that he is an ambitious manager who has not turned up at Hampton just to tread water and will be giving it his best shot to reach the play-offs.

Probably a lot of hot air and bluster but he has only said what most Hampton supporters wanted to hear, if for nothing else than just to drum up some enthusiasm after losing all their players.

Wouldn’t hype him up too much, He was obviously surplus to requirements at a mid table side in the league they’ve just left so not sure he’d be overly feared...

What like Sam Togwell ? ha ha !

Billericay are now 5-1 favourites to win the league with Glen Tampering tweeting that he has singed two more 'big guns' to be announced at their next game against Maidstone.

Woking are down to 9/1 with Slough down to 25/1.

Three teams who's odds I think are quite generous are Bath City at 12/1, Wealdstone 25/1 and Chippenham at a huge 40/1.
